I had to manually intervene during the Euro/Italy crisis as it got into trouble and was trying to add new trades with no free equity (you can see the spiky bits) but then when there was enough free equity I let RHMC take over and it handled things like a champ. Equity curve steadily progressing.

Hello chief , and sorry for the late reply ( Ramadan month and am fasting )

those 7 pairs are the ones that did well on the past versions of the EA and they are almost the same as what Magix is using .

The Hybrid always was on auto mode no manual action used . Only once when i turned it of ( due to no reason ) for few hours then i turned it on again .

I still maintain that on a fixed lot setting, min account shouldn't be less than $2000 and for increment $3000...even at that, I think the holiday start took out a couple of accounts on increment and one of my longest running accounts which had trippled over the course of 4 months eventually got taken out with the $2000 minimum on increment...LINK

The logic has improved since the release of Evolution...but the market is an ever-changing place.

I've done some testing on the Stochs Triggering...

M15 is fairly slow to take a trigger, but seems to be fairly consistent. Everything runs into trouble at some point.

The M5...a lot more profitable, but also a lot more risk...

So then I took the ideas of Intrend and NN and dropped them into a single trader.

M15 for trend trading, M5 for NN and am testing different combinations of Cost Averaging Triggers.

So far...it's looking really nice, but the main consideration on this will be the actual number of trades in place. Running some of the earlier versions on too many pairs had them hit the Broker Max 200 trades and limited their ability to effectively cost average.

This can be as large of an issue as running out of margin because you would literally be forced to either hold on until enough trades closed to allow it to continue working or watch as your funds slowly drained away with swap and rollover fees.

We can work on a smaller Deposit, reduce the number of traded pairs! If you need $ 2000 for 7 pairs, it turns out for 1 pair, we can use a minimum depot of $300....I'm right? but there is one thing, different volatility of pairs is also a different result...therefore, I propose to split into groups with optimal parameters and start the load test on the Deposit.

Just fired off a copy of Stochs 2 - Version of the Hybrid.

All triggering intended for an M1 Chart!

Has ONLY got the Stochastic Triggering, but there are 3 settings for this.

Stochs 15 Trend - Trading the M1 charts off of an M15 Stochastics.
Stochs 5 Trend - Much the same as I was playing with on Friday - London and NY sessions.
Stochs 5 NN - Faster triggering towards Homeostatic Median.

Note:
The cost averaging is defaulted to the same as the original Hybrid was

B. I have modified the Profit for dynamic and static profiting.

Minimal Trailing Profit - will be adapted to range on a single trade and will follow price once a profit of the Minimum Has been Achieved.
The MACD_Level_Points has been moved down as it will only be used in consideration of the MACD Dynamic Profit.
Static Profit - exactly what it says. When the sum of the Best Trades and the Absolute Worst trade hits this value, it will automatically exit.

I will be watching for errors throughout the week...if anything looks fucked, I will correct and send out updates.

For martingale and different accounts sizes i use two settings that seems to have tamed the beast (see my Countertrend TE).

It still scans 28 pairs but is limited to "Max pairs at any time" and "Max exposure per currency".

The "max exposure per currency" will limit opening pairs that contain the same currency thus limiting the exposure in case that currency make a sudden swing (retracement).

fi. set to 2 it will let you trade nzdusd and usdjpy signals but if these are trading a signal for gbpusd will be ignored until one of the other usd containing pairs are closed.

Of course i will first have to get and study Magix system to see if this is applicable here.

First backtest (scalp) i see a lot of the error "Error opening buy (or sell) N 4051" "Invalid lot amount in ordersend".
Did a search here but could not find anything.
Am i missing something ?

Screen shot of the settings?

There was an issue with a previous version due to improper calculations on Step Lot - feature removed and haven't seen any reports of the same error.

Okay...this is actually something that I've just come across over last weeks trading...might be the same thing, might be something different, but will see if this explains it...

Working these, in Sum Start Mode, the logic is to add incrementally to the Last Position...

Now...in aggressive mode, not only allows trades outside of the Grid Parameters but will actually cost average Above previous Long positions and Below previous Short positions.

When this happens, the logic goes a little batty...in that it sees the previous position, but also looks at the position in the immediate vicinity and ends up taking the lowest trade allowed - at default will be .01...

So...

For Sum Start...if you are watching in this mode, you can see chronological trades of .01, .02, .03, .04, .01, .05, .06, .01...

I believe this is the calculation error that is showing - 4051, but will have to see if I can replicate and see where the issue actually is...pure speculation at this point.

Thanks for bringing it up...again, I just seen this last week for the first time - never checked my logs or journal, was testing the BB triggering. As I was so disappointed in how that piece of shit traded, I went to work on the Stochastics and reset the account.

Perhaps this is related.
On the 28 pair test (all same set file) it does not seem to increment the position.
But perhaps i will find that out after i read all the 32 pages.
Was just eager to start at least a test while reading.

While i am observing, there are brokers that do not allow hedging so in that case the sell would have close the two buys.

Just set up a BT with All of the Aggressive Modes at 0 and Hyper(always in aggressive mode) at 0 and can confirm the issue and my suspicion.

Ran into this issue when trying to code in a time delay between trades due to my lack of proper definition of the previous trade...Never paid attention to if it produced an error number as much as I noticed that it was ignoring the delay...

Will have to see what I can get figured on this...one thing I can confirm is that along with backtests...this error does not impact the ability for it to take the trades, it just sequences the order improperly...and...maybe this isn't even a bad thing if only positions that are outside of the grid get incrementally increased....

Now my brain is a pretzel!

This doesn't solve the FIFO issue...

Soooooo... The linked Hybrid v1.1 TE to this thread has completed its test. +37% profit with reasonable DD considering.

I've now loaded up another 2 X TE's, Hybrid v1.2 (my favorite so far) vs Hybrid All In, a direct head to head test.

I'm very curious to see which will pull in the most stable profit with the least amount of DD.

v1.2 has survived very well, and All In blew the account, well that was partly my fault lol..

Lets see how this goes!
