The question is if the price of EU can go higher then expected?
The scenarios classified as (1) at the picture below can be fulfilled quite possible. As I said before, I personaly think of price correction up to 61% of the latest daily move down. However, the price could be reversed back down much faster than I think of it.
On the other hand, I can see the possible scenario marked as (2).
That is why I would ask Elioticinas to think of such a scenario. Could it be supported by the price wave structure?

Hi, guys, and here I must say "Elioticians needed" The question is if the price of EU can go higher then expected?
Most Elliotticans thought, that the very low around 1.04 is/was a major low, and expected price to rally at least towards 1.3x in the first step, later higher.
Those Elliotticans also thought, that the recent move down to around 1.15 was only a wave 4. But when the movement got deeper and deeper their counts were invalidated.
Let us assume they were right at the low of 1.04:
then they simply misjudged the movement towards 1.25. When we were at that high, I counted the movement from the 1.04 low as a finished 5-wave impulse.
That means:
when those Elliotticans are basically right, then we have seen a 5-wave impulse from the 1.04 low to the 1,125 high. The movement down may be an ABC-flat, which may have concluded at the 1,15 low. In this case, this low is the low, or only wave A of a more complex correction.
This would implicate a much higher high in the weeks/months to come.
Some Elliotticans have switched now from bullish to bearish count, more or less following my main count, where this wave up from 1.04 to 1.25 was the C-wave of a complex ABC-flat correction up.
But let us look at sentiment:
DSI shows the small option traders: they were record short (8% bulls) at the 1.15 low few days back. Now their sentiment is back to around 27% bulls. One can call this move up easily short-covering.
The retail Forex traders were wrong from 1.21 to the bottom at 1.15. They were record long all the way. Now they have regained some lost pips, but are quick to switch to neutral or short position. Today they are net short a little bit. We have to watch this closely. If they go net long again when price drops a little bit now, then chances are high, that we will see new lows soon. If they keep on building short positions, we may see higher prices in the next few days/weeks.
The COT data shows, that the large specs are selling their long positions. They are long still, but they are reducing that. Tomorrows new COT data may give us a hint about their stance. The recent COT report contains data from the 29th of May. That was before the recent sharp ralley.
