hello guys

i have something very weird happening on one of my EA

when i put the same EA on two diffrent chart/currency

the EA behave weirdly by doing the opposite on each chart without reason..... (or one i understand)

they both set on :
"only open buy order when MACD is more then zero" and "only open sell order when MACD is under zero"

on the chart EUR/USD one follow the rule and on another pair the EA do the opposite ("only open SELL order when MACD is more then zero" and "only open BUY order when MACD is under zero"


the opposite without eason ! did that already happen to you ? (sorry for my bad english)

Why not ask the person who coded the EA?
probably he can only know why this is happening

Hi, Best option is to contact EA creator. It sounds like the EA is having probs with magic number of the opened trades. Maybe it is trying to hedge the position some how, but you can not know for sure.

If you have the source code may as well post it here (as it is simple EA using MACD) and I am sure someone may have a look and let you know why the issue happens. Have you had good results running it on 1 chart with MACD only?

first thank you all for reading and specially answering

i found where the problem was coming

my EA use an macd indicator that didn't work anymore. it have a little timer stuff in it that make it work only till 2018.05.25...

i jut change in the EA the indicator macd to use and now it start to work fine again.

that all mt4/MT5 switching make everything a bit complicated...
