In your new release, is it possible to put an option for setting the maximum number of trades ?
For example, in my demo account, 28 open positions are there for EURAUD. I will be in trouble if the number of open positions are increasing further. So, it is good to have a control on the maximum number of trades.

I think having a trade limit could hamper the logic of the EA and its cost averaging.

I think its best to make sure you have sufficient capital and appropriate pairs to run the EA beforehand like Magix has advised many times.

You can also take his advice from #431 which should help.

Take my 2 accounts that I'm running TE's, both tests are accounts with $1000, and only trading 5 pairs, so its $200 per pair trading at 0.01.

This puts less stress on the account and allows enough margin should a pair or pairs go into DD.

So far these Hybrid versions have been kicking ass, and the DD has stayed between 11-12% which for a grid based EA is excellent.

I think its best to not overload the account, allow min $200 per pair trading at 0.01 and you should be fine and will still make a good profit.

Agree with MRDFX, on another board I was looking at a similar option as trade count was huge, but RMHC seems to have this in balance and seeing for my own eyes it needs to play the full cycle out, however there are ways to limit the frequency without altering the strategy, (as has been explained in previous posts) by the way some great results today, looking at the TE's, Magix and MRDFX trooping away nicely, I'm still in my own EA trades, RMHC not traded since last cycle closed yesterday, I'm trying to be out of the market tonight because the news Magix posted about the USD/HKD, don't know what the effect it may have but not leaving anything to chance, D
OOPS me bad, thought the un pegging was tomorrow, little or no effect at all, D

Well, there is no harm if you have an option (3 digit space) to put number of trades.
For those who have no issue with high numbers, they can put 999 as maximum number of trades.
At the same time, besides the points explained in post no. 431, this option will also be useful for those who wanted to have strict control on the numbers of trades, even after realizing its adverse effect on cost averaging.
Hope you will understand my point.

Dropped back to below 8 on PF, but increased on closed trades - $147.95 on the day.

I too agree with mrdfx...I've been down the same path on limiting my traders to what I felt was reasonable only to realize that if left to their own design, they do a lot better...but hey, for those wanting to be a little more conservative and see if this can benefit or using this on a Longer Term Time Frame...may not be a terrible thang.

Will Also Add Spread into the first Trade - so that we aren't getting caught in shit positions on Daily Roll or Press Spikes.

This will be a fucking BEAST for options...but I will also work to have the Magix Scalper Settings currently being used as defaults and over time go through the explanations of new additions.

I'm getting worried, it's coming to the weekend and a bank holiday one at that in the UK, keep that liver in trim Magix but no doubt I'll be on a similar planet myself come Saturday night, never could take my booze, I've fired things back up after my mis informed self was told me of news tomorrow, I know I'm a d#ck, anyhow looking forward to the grand unveiling, excellent stats today BTW, keep on trucking, D

There will be some changes coming...

First thing...After Market Close this week, Minimum Donation of $50 will be required - Make a Wish Foundation - ONLY!

Second...I am probably going to look for a hand to cover the thread and updates...Energetic has volunteered before so, if this goes down, he will have first right of refusal and failing that, will open this up to volunteers...

Which, will actually mean - 3rd...a Periodic Expiry date coded into the strategy - because this will be easier than licensing.

I do appreciate all of the support and your efforts in testing, you've all kept me alive and active here at the Factory!

Will see how things play out into the weekend and update as necessary.

Sure I am happy to be the volunteer for this thread. I have space in my vps. I will keeping posting the trade explorer for various version of your ea.
