Yes. the GBP market move is pretty clear. All my live and test account get profit. I heard some friend get SL hit before taking the profit. So it is really depending on the service level of broker and own luck.

The goal of design is : no grid, no floating lose. All the orders closed after news being released with profit or targeted lose. so we can have a quite sleep over night. And program will take every news opportunity accurately. So end of day, we can forget there is a system running and back end, and just check the equity trend, up, down and up again.

I got some common questions from traders regarding this News Trader EA. Let me use this FAQ sessions to address it:

1. Why there is expiry date of this EA ? Will you charge me after the expiration ?

I am using expiry date setting to ensure traders get latest version. The trader need to download the new version to ensure their program is up-to-date. I have no plan to charge trader of using this EA.

2. Why there is demo account shown here ? Do you have live account to show ?

I have this program running on three live accounts. The performance is pretty aligned with the demo. Two of them was managed by News Trader program with other strategy. I won't be able to share the result as it might be confused. The trading of third account was just started and need time to accumulate data and will be published in the near future.

3. Why there is a difference between my own trading result from the result published on the web ?

FX trading is very decentralized. The price feed/spread provided by every broker will be different. Let's observe the overall equity trend alignment, rather than individual transactions. But if you see big difference of trading result, i might suggest you change to another broker.

if you are using 1k version, i assume the lot size will be around 0.03-0.05. for those two testing accounts, 5.6K balance, the lot size will be around 0.3. the lots was calculate based on the worse case losing scenario at 2% per trade, spread of currency, margin and some other factors.

Hello teamaker! Thanks for this thread and the ea. I am forward testing your ea but it always give me incorrect date and time. Pls see pic. The other day it was fine then it suddenly changed, until now. Detached/attached ea, restart mt4, etc but same. Allowed web request also. Maybe it's a bug.

Hello Teamaker, and thanks for your contribution and program. Like Billbss, I live in the US. I understand that all parameters of this EA are handled by the EA without any input of the user.
Because the different brokers in the US have a different leverage depending on the currency (1:50 for EUR/USD, 1:20 for GBPUSD, 1:25 for USDJPY, etc), does your EA takes into consideration these different leverage per currency or does it apply a standard leverage for all ? If standard leverage, which one is it ?

If there is no more news for the week on a pair you get that 1972 message.
It should update Sunday evening when the market opens for the week.

bill, thanks for helping answer the question. there are could be two reasons here:

1. the url: http://autratec.droppages.com wasn't correctly setup correctly in the web service page. please help check
2. when the trader setup the EA, there is no tick (price change) from broker, so the EA wasn't really triggered to take the latest news event from server.

hope it was resolved.

Hi Whitespire, glad to see more US traders test this tool. back to your question, the answer is YES. In the existing logic, it does checking margin usage per lot and available margin to adjust the lot size accordingly.

at same time, based on the testing account published, assume 5K balance will open 0.25 lots. based on 1:100 leverage. it will take around 250 USD as margin usage. in US case, if the leverage change to 1:20, it will take 1000 USD as margin. you still have 4000 left to handle the stop lose and worse case is around 50 USD. At current setup, we only trade one or two currency at one news event. So the worse case is taking 2000 USD as margin and you have 3000 USD left and stop lose could take you 100 USD.

So you are still pretty safe.
