I'm a Padron fan for the most part especially the 1926 series and anniversary series. But their handmades are cheap but damn good.

Heading to Ruidoso, NM for some Blackjack gaming at Inn of the Mountain Gods and the best Elk tenderloin in these parts. Hope everyone has a great Memorial Holiday!
Nothing I like more than some American whiskey, aged in a charred oak barrel. Elijah Craig 10 year is fantastic if you can still find any. Cigars, my choice is La Paz.
I love W.L. Weller 12 yr, been drinking it for years before it was cool.
now it is getting hard to find if it was good enough for LBJ, its good enough for me.
I've tried some really nice whiskies. Single barrels, single malts, single grains. Even had one that was aged on a ship which sailed around the world. Generally I prefer a Rye over a Bourbon as I find bourbons a bit too sweet (due to the corn). I like Wild Turkey 101 Rye. Of course you can spend as much as you want to but I really don't think it's necessary.

anyone can walk into a store and say give me the most expensive whiskey, but is it the best? is a $500 whiskey 10 X better than a $50 bottle.
I don't think so. a lot of hype and marketing for the most part. cigars are the same the new thing is the must-have.
if you enjoy it, that's all that matters. take Gurkha cigars at one time the most expensive cigar on the market, was it the best not by a long shot.
