i want to ask how did u accepted that some trades will lose?and not take it personal and start searching for reason why did it failed

I always try to find a reason why it failed but there's not always a clear reason other than it just happens....Sometimes you just have to walk away, even if it's just for an hour or two, what else can you really do, man...Sometimes you have to take calculated loss and just try to lose as little as possible too

for me if i have a profitable day but i lose the last trade it's like my day is ruined and the shitty part is that i got quite good at trading but the emorional part is killing me if it would not been for the money i make i would never be in a bussiness like this

Yes losing the last trade of the day really hurts...Often times i will limit the loss to maximum of 50% or so of my gain for the day...It hurts losing half but it REALLY hurts losing all profits or worse ending the day in the red after being up a bunch

Don't lose - keep adding loads of indicators until you can no longer see your screen. That will stop you from losing.

Dont focus on the outcome of one trade, just trust your method that the positive expectancy will play out over time and that you will be up after 100s/1000s of trades.
If one losing trade hurts you emotionaly, check your position sizes and make sure that even lets say 30 consecutive losses mean nothing to your account ( 5% or so )

i was just thinking about athletes how they from beeing nr1 still lose sometimes and i think for me it's because i consider myself a failure if i fail in one trade maybe i'm weak emotionally

Ever tried to grow a tomatoe plant from a seed? What do you have to do to harvest tasty tomatoes?

You dont take one seed, you take a few. There will always be some who doesnt germinate. Does it hit you emotionaly? No. You have to accept that it wants to grow. Dont fight. You dont pull on it that it grows faster. You treat every one equally, because you never know which one will survive. You have to understand their natural needs. Dont be afraid. If you are, you will be doing too much. Too much water, too many nutrients. You have to observe and react. Let them breathe. Be patient. What can harm them? Stormy weather? Rain? Drop in temperature? Be prepared for that. Help them to do their natural thing. If you lose 4 of 5 because of snails, you dont get affected emotionaly, you just start again with 5. Thats nature. Accept it. One plant grows tall, tasty tomatoes, yummi.

My point is that we tend to feel bad about things which are totally natural and that the real enemy is us, complicating things and feeling superior..

With a simple spread sheet, take your past 10-20 trades and calculate the pips gained vs pips lost, for each and then the total.


The idea being is to see if:

1) Your method will work in the long run

2) IF your system is good, you will see that if you lose you will still make money.

3) IF your system is no good, you wil see that if you win you will lose money

If you see you will make money, then whats the worry? Its to bring calmness to your mind. Learning to accept these results will help.

If you use martingale, or some other form of revenge trading you might need to find away to become more discipline. Help this method might, for the bigger picture it shows.
Learn, a forex trader must, unlearn and relearn he will.

Looking at your past 10-20 trades, you are not. You are looking to see the pips gained vs the pips lost. Becoming confident in your system, is the idea. Not revenge trading, not over trading, not becoming emotionally consumed. Learning to trust the system you are.


Last trade of the day, losing, learning to accept this you will.


If you make 10 trades with a 3:1 or 4:1 risk ratio, and trade below 50%, losing the last trade of the day matters not. Seeing the bigger picture should, help calm your mind, it will.

Its probably one of the hardest things to accept and do consistently. You have you switch your mind to think that losing is actually making you successful...extremely hard process and probably why most people lose. Winning is easy, but successful traders are judged by how they lose.

An AMF 4 years CFDs and Forex study shows that about 89% of the traders/investors lose.

That says it all.
Most traders do not accept the losses.
