I've read those FTI quotes many times...and every time I read them i get something new . As for the highlighted sentence...

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

nonetheless, a double edge sword indeed.

Yesterday I have chosen the easy way: trading wave by wave, not staying “always in” in that piece of Downtrend.

  1. Legs were long
  2. Retraces were deep
  3. I was riding along with you
  4. Shooting picture, writing, chatting
  5. Trading live...
  6. and I have my temperament (in permanent conflict between the need of Zen peace and the hunger for permanent battle!)


First of all that Series of Down Waves... LH-LL... that Downtrend... IS/WAS A CORRECTION IN AN UP TREND!
If you are not able to imagine the Traders of one TF against the Traders of another TF...
The Market Makers with their vested interest...
And all those damned HFT machines one against the other...
and the Retailers that don't understand anything at each turn...
you won't never be able to get the whole picture.

All this interaction – with its proper own RULES – is going to create the complex reality of the Market at each price!
So you have to decide the “IF” and the “HOW” of your trading approach.
This is why there is not one way to trade a Market.
Who are you?
What you see?
What you get (and retain) more easily?
How you feel yourself more comfortable?

This is why this stuff is neither easy nor simple.

My Lord Willoughby's Welcome Home.
This is the piece that my teacher and I loved the most in playing together.
Don't ask me why... we, both, never found out that why.
But we were happy and joyful in playing it together much more than with others pieces.
Those are the mystery of our brain and body... good vibrations (all wealthy and natural, ROFL )
That strange synch that we search and love. (And the same happens to me with Mother Market... in some occasion!)

The duet in the video is artificial...
but it presents the same score/sheet I used to play and the same speed I preferred at that time.
In the intention we were a little bit more “accented”... but it's nothing.
