Your 2nd trade H, reasoning = pullback to obvious demand area? (don't see any 123s etc)

2b break back into up trend the same way you take a 123 back into trend with a demand/thrust/impulse bar

I have just never seen a market produce so many opportunities. Constantly amazed at nq

I will do my update in a mo... just cooking tea and need to eat. I've been behind all day and found myself in quite a stressed state as the afternoon has proceeded.

Anyway, i did 15 mins, 3 trades, including one BE, one missed fill and two winners for +43. Write up to follow.

Thx, H! - that's a new one for my bag - i've only been focused on 2b's at more obvious swing highs/lows.

the same way we use 123s to get into the trend we use 2b setups the same way its a break of swing and then the pullback make sure there is a thrust bar at the level

I think this is a good example of a 123 pullback to trust bar, but didn't work out, I got out BE though.

..in a downtrend i have always used 123's with 1 as a high..not that it really matters in this case.

yes it is but if I get missed by 1 tick when candle closes I cancel order

So, following on...

I was actually quite anxious before trading today. As i mentioned, i've been all behind today starting with getting up really late. I'm GMT+2, so market opens at 16:30 here. I usually miss the open hour, although i haven't nailed down an exact time for trading as yet.

Being the end of the afternoon, it's definitely more difficult than getting used to trading, say, first thing in the morning, which is obviously a simpler time to make a daily habit of.

Anyway, the anxiety grows each day for me right now. I think i spoke of it yesterday. It's a pride/desire thing. I'm more grounded now than i've been in the past, for sure. It's not that i'm struggling sleeping with excitement etc, purely that i'm wondering if i dare let myself start to believe!

I don't recall a losing session in the last month, on the contrary, it seems to be minimum +30 each day and often much more. Now, of course, this is just demo account and we all know how different it is when real money is on the table and moreso than that, contract size with Futures is a lot more serious than playing with pennies on Spreadbets.

If you consider, like for like it is the equivalent of $10 a pip on the Dax and i've only been doing such at closer to $1 in the past.

What i really need, is for someone to hit the TSM button before i start trading and for me to not realise it!

As i keep saying, the target is to be running like a well oiled machine prior to switching and being so used to it, that it is merely a matter of rinse/repeat... a habit.

Anyway, worry not, here was my effort;



I was too aggressive with my BE and watching the subsequent drop hurt, as did not getting a fill for the rise that followed. MF (Missed Fill - not M**** F****)

I was watching and hesitated at first with selling this prior Supply, but the tiny 123 made my mind up and it was a +30. Unfortunately, that should have been a buy from prior Demand too, but that takes some doing to follow a profit down and not only close for the profit, but open the counter-trend trade for the rise back up.



Got in on the pullback for a top-up;



It's still early days yet. A year ago, i wanted to be capable of doing this, just with demo. The next step is for this to become the norm. Then i will be ready for the switch. I'm still waiting for it to go all to pot again! I'm hoping that i've turned the corner.

Easy to analyse in hindsight, i know. I am guilty of taking these too, but i have written before about what happens prior. If it looks like a 5w set in a channel, i will try to ignore it and take the Supply at the beginning of the set instead;

Yeh, it's not set in yet. I don't recall any losing days for quite some time now. Still taking some daft trades at times though.

I think i wrote last year sometime that i felt like i was a couple years behind you in all of this. That means i need to be trading a contract and bagging 40 a day (average) by New Year 2019 and then up to 3 contracts by New Year 2020. I feel like that could be a realistic set of targets for me...

I was hoping that Olarion might have stuck around and kept posting his trades.

I can only keep re-iterating, it is a process not an event. Tuning the way you view PA only comes with time and experience. I needed (and still do) to knit my EW view with the market in phases, together with coinciding with S/D levels.
