Thanks, this looks fantastic, might check that out. Yes, those crowds are a bit of an annoyance, so it's wise to pay for seclusion. And northern parts of the lake are like German colonies already.

I have been considering this since I joined this thread : and made several Live FDXM trades. But my trading style "enjoys" granularity, which FDAX 0.5 tick provides. I have a meeting near the German border this afternoon, so 3 hrs round trip on the motorway is always a good time to contemplate.

I am resisting what I perceive as a step back to FDXM, so that in itself suggests that it is definitely the right thing to do ! I have ruled out Ger30 (which is both granular and cost effective), as I feel long-term success lies in the futures.

I am interested how others manage their DAX trades, especially with regard to the "stop to breakeven ; yes, no & when?" issue ?

OK, now prices stand at 535 and I've just placed stop at be 515 for my last FDXM long with target 565.
Deleted all other orders.

my opinion ...

... theoretically ... the BE invalidates the backtesting of the strategy :
( in the hypothesis of RR = 2 or 3, the BE falsifies the profitability "= profit factor" of the strategy)

Almost like the problem of Monty Hall ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monty_Hall_problem
... the presenter, knowing the solution, in the intervention brings a further (probabilistic) clue to the optimal resolution of the problem for the player ...

That is, the trader, knowing the backtesting, in the case brings a further (probabilistic) change to the resolution of the problem, worsening the profit factor ...

The point is if the strategy is really significant (or random)?

If it were not, the RR would be theoretical (and not practical, like% W) and random ProfitFactor (not repeatable) ...

This week there will be the BCE meeting next thursday with usual Draghi press conference while in US GOOGLE will start tonight the Big NASDAQ Q1 earnings reports.

I guess market is preparing for both these events but maybe it's too early to say something clear about it.
