you have the idea there alex, but it will be more beneficial to you if you will know the reason behind it's (price) reaction to those certain levels or zones and whose dominant at that time... can you see trapped traders? where? what do you think will those trapped traders do if price will run away against their direction fast? and what do you think will happen if price will come back or near to that previous level again?

I'll have a go now .

In the first run up there were peeps who would go long on trend - those with stops below swings would have sold helping the down move back to lows - anyone else long is now trapped. At lows any bout short traders are in trouble (we can buy from them) and any stops are taken out (we can buy from them).

Price hits the buy/demand area and rallies back long to potential sell/supply zone: big guys will sell to the longs who get out at or near break even - anyone who buys into that rally is buying too late so you can sell to them too. Phew I'm confused now.

But what are the good signs that price is reacting to those zones at all and I'm not quacking and how do we know if price is just cutting thru them?

don't think to loud Alex be in it and flow with her, feel her... dance... and make sure you follow, never lead. hit and run

and repeat...

you made me laugh, you are in and just a few ticks you're out? did you feel her? could it be trapping bears in action?

No I have been trading eurusd short since yesterday (got in on rounding over) and then this morning got in again on range PB to supply area - I mostly watch eurusd. I am thinking of going to gym so out for Friday.

I have problems with the "feel" thing: although sometimes I really do feel the power. I am a scientific person so feely is hard for me and seems very subjective. I used to harass FTI about the "feel" thing. Feel can get me out too soon also... so really I still have a lot to learn.

trading mix with science... is very unhealthy technicians doesn't meant to apply science on their work... it's more of an art IMO

now would still like to short euro now?

No. At potential demand zone and very large selling so bad idea maybe.

I do agree that trading is defo an art. I tried doing it by numbers and it didn't work - tested it using computer and so know that doesn't work - much more to it - this is what led me to FTI thread (but I was ill for a bit and it kept getting in the way of my learning - last op. was Autumn last year so hope that is behind me ). The skill (and many mental maps) are required and that is the "feel" I think.
