Hello, one thing I have now to agree is I might miss some good (early)entries while limiting auto-trade timing. It is now set from 01:00 to 22:00 (gmt) - higher spreads and swaps during these times. 24/7 is nice too.So, this also answer question made by my friend Luvene.

About the 500 pips SL ..well , I could have set it to 300 or 2000 as Mankindeg said ...SL is at zigzag. TP 1:6 ( I wish it could even be @ 1:20 ..lol) , this is because on D1 time frame you have plenty of time to make your decisions in regards of DD or in regards of your TP. I recognize that although my intentions were initially to leave the EA doing its job with my hands off, it was impossible to me ( emotions-bad in fx-) to see a 200 pips green trade ...fading back to 120 without manually closing or trail with about 1/3 of the ADR distance when pips are GREEN around +150 ( depending on the pair behaviour, supply demand, strength,others).

So, you can now consider my results as semi-auto. IF I could leave my day job , I would probably trade this manually only on H4 and D1 ...and would be back also to Fxm TTM ( that I left in the deep freezer cryo style).

These are current open trades running ..and the the following post I will explain my views on the zigzag look back 90 days ( daily candle thinggy) and reentries...

Update on my Daily SDTR

I have three (3) active trades. I'm very "hands-off" and although all 3 are in profit, none have reached the 100 pip profit level where the TS will kick-in.

Hey Pipbull , thanks for sharing.I see that AUDNZD could be a nice runner , USDJPY reached some resistance level AND zigzag pointer showing up ( time to take profit- for me) . GBPAUD need to be closely watched I would place my SL at breakeven when 50 Green pips , there is a weak support nearby.
But you are hands-off , so , let them run ..

Well I'm in this thread till the end and I do believe This EA is one of the best system so far, We just need to keep playing with it!!!

Well, not really.
If the current market conditions keep on for another couple of weeks the EA as seen in your TE will likely fail.
No money has been made yet.

I think that you will generate more interest in the system if you had continued with the manual style of trading and more examples.
You did show a manual TE once with great results but you did not follow up on that.

I think that you would have had a lot more followers and feedback.

i think all the system were f***ed last week due the Syria attack, and went to "normal" when Trump announced 'mission accomplished'.
not just this SDTR. this is why we need pay attention to the news especially non-scheduled news.
"Hope" is dangerous word in trading, trade what you see not what you hope!

So why did the UKpound surged against the USdollar despite the UK was partner in the Syria bombing, has the has a bodged Skripal case and a Brexit on their hands ?

Looking a little bit deeper into mrdfx TE (EA driven) almost all pairs of the 28 (or at least a lot, didn't count them) failed.
This is highly unlikely. I have never seen 28 pairs trend at the same period for a longer time.

Basically this is the idea behind swing/reversal trading, take the pips.

The other thing is that mrdfx said that this strategy fails on strong trending pairs hence the losses.
It should not because of the buy-sell-buy-sell option.

Fi. strong upward trending pair and the EA reacts on a daily sell reversal, so sells and hits SL.
Should not be a problem because the next trade should be a buy in the trend direction and at least have a return of 1:3 thus making up for the loss of
the false downward reversal.
So it fails on up-down-up-down-up ? a reversal strategy ?

I hope that mrdfx can give a better explanation (for the sake of the thread) than "the market is against us".

For the D1 chart traders (longer term) traders, just dump a ZZ indicator on 28 charts, wait for the arrow, trade in the direction and set the right SL/TP.
You will highly likely get the same or better results.
The 4 or so other indicators do not really matter.

What do you mean posting this sentence: "You will highly likely get the same results." What "results" dp you mean ?

Do you mean using the ZZ indi alone will give the same results like using the complete SDTR system

Yes.
It will only generate a couple of trades a week/month and if you can not manage those, should you really be trading at all ?

As I see doubts about ZZ i will show one thing. Capture shows new high/lows using ZZ formula.

1) Top ( red ) shows original ZZ. Its smoother because all paint is faked. Backstep controls the noise "cleaner"
2) Bottom ( blue ) shows real highs/lows made by ZZ without any "cleaner" trick.

ZZ in EA shows signal at every new high/low after candle close with a duration of X candles. In high timeframes like FXM recomends it can make a big DD. Circles shows EA signals

PD: Use high TFs not solve the problem. Only shift it a few days/weeks. And DD have relation with TF. Bigger TF bigger DD

The "trend indicator" is in defect or else the EA would not be fooled into false reversals.
Either that or the profit expectation from a daily reversal are just to high, not reached and run back into SL.

ZZ can never be a "major" indicator that's why the MA break and the mrdfx timing there also.

Precisely the key is ZZ. Its better reduce repainting modifying it that add filters only delay or miss good trades while open the bad ones in the worst place possible
