It is difficult to call at the moment. Oil storage draw-down on this week's figures, you might expect price to rise. Trump opens his mouth and the price goes down.

It seems to be the push down I was expecting yesterday.
Unfortunately, haven't caught it.

I stay out of the market till Monday/Tuesday and then it will hopefully be clearer if the bears take over or bulls proceed.

After the weekend analysis, as far as I can see, I think the possible bottom could be around the 61.15 (for the WTICOUSD ticker at Tradingview, prices by Oanda) I mentioned previously. Most likely time of reaching this would be today, close to the end of the NY session. Of course, it is also possible that the price proceeds further down, I wouldn't fade the push down with a large trade.

We don't often have the chance for a strong Martingale. I thought I'd post it out here anyway.

First position starting at around 9% risk I think it was, coming out to around 30% risk at ATL I think it was 60% at zero - but gives you many profit options whether you want to play the ranges of keep them open for a bigger payday.

So guys should we buy the rumor of a possible american campaign in Syria on oil now ? At 65$ it's a bit higher than I would like it to be though... Near a 3 year double top it's a difficult decision to go long.

Can split your position and start buying in, but I would expect it to fall quite a lot at some point anyway, so there should be another opportunity.

The Syria situation is not that bad as talks are planned to settle the matter.

WTI could see 66.5 today.

Getting news flow come in quite often for this and its weighing on my cad trades

Anyone who is holding oil you should see heavy movement upwards as attacks on syria now confirmed.

Last year on the 7th of April which is exactly 1 year ago, POTUS gave orders for the 2017 Shayrat missile strike in Syria. 59 Tomahawk cruise rockets were launched at the Shayrat Airbase and was a significantly larger attack than the recent attack today.

Go look at USOIL in your charts on the 7th of April of last year, it was a friday. The price of oil did not spike, it just followed the trend. There was no anomaly in the price action related to this event.

I'm not giving advice here since i could very well be wrong, but if we are comparing geopolitical events which are identical and we use the logic that the price respects / remembers last years events, i have no reason to assume price will spike, it may retest resistance and then continue short.

Oil rigs went up, oil supply stock was high.

I'd also like to add that price this time last year was $52 a barrel.

Well the main strength theis week came from the Saudis saying they want to see $80. Syria move also contributed to it although it had little effect on safe haven currencies but commodity currencies like cad benefited.

Let's see how the market digest the news as this also involves Russia as well
