Type in 50 in the calendar search box, sort by pips. This will give you the average movement per day for the past year. You can do further analysis and determine which pair you'd like to catch these pips on. Note: This doesn't necessarily mean it will move 100 pips in one direction every day. It simply means that the market will have moved X pip amount in a day.

100 pips per day with what? How much is your investment? What's your risk percentage? What's your risk reward ratio? How many currency pairs you will trade? It is possible to get 100 pips but there are so many things to consider.

For me as day trader 100 pips is a weekly target. For a longterm trader that's probably small change. So it depends on what you're trying to achieve (or trade) here.
Interestingly, the EUR crosses just today went up by 70-100 pips in a matter of 2 hrs before the EURO Core CPI release, and I have absolutely no idea why or how (does anyone know?). But there was certainly 200 pips there in 90 minutes or so if you were trading at the time, and if this movement fitted with your system.

I think, trading skill is the most important consideration here; when you have enough trading skill, then you’ll able to make this target so easily.

Lets do an exercise I present you 2 options:

Option A: a "maybe" you can get more than 100 pips method (lets say its a 50/50 chance)

Option B: a method that can give you 5 pips with a >90% probability of success


What would you choose?

Do you want the more than 100 pips method?? do you NEED to win more 100 pips everytime??

how many pips you can earn from trading , it completely depends on your trading strategies, on the other hand despite of good strategies good result will not come if there is no money management plan.

100 pips is a big deal in a day , its a big target and i think its not appropriate for retail trader. this target traders can make emotional and greedy.

I think so; in a long run, 100 pips is such a big amount as the daily target; besides, I have to plan to trade based on the daily/weekly targets!

I never trade with targeting pips. If I find a potential trade I do it even if it 50pips or 100 pips.
