Profit factor 2.08 from Panel 2 is better then 1.87 from Panel one. All considered.
I'll go with Panel 2 as well for the already mentioned reasons...

Long time did not post in this thread. Thanks to all for their work, Tests and contribution.
I followed most posts in the thread and I think this point was not mentioned before.

I have the EA with different setfiles on a live account at ICM. This seems to me more
reliable than testing on demo. Only my view.

Magic numbers ending with "1" are Long trades. "2" are Short.

Myfxbook gives me this Information by analyzing "Sell" and "Buy" trades separated.

Anyone has the same or an idea why sell trades seem to be significant less profitable?
Or am I missing a point?

It could be because the trend for the pairs traded was mostly on a buy trend during the period of trade.
i have tried to start trades with a trend, now i prefer to follow the trend

Can it make sense to exclude some currency pairs from the trade sheet? Several times already watched as AUDCAD and NZDCAD more often hit SL.
Have you thought about it? Can you glance the history on all your SDTR EA?

So adding on the post above and to reveal what the comparison test was, I was testing a comparison of the ZZ depth 40 and 20.

It was surprising for me as I didn't think or expect that using an even lower depth would be more profitable. Yes I did expect there to be a lot more trades, and there were, but I didn't expect the difference in profit being in the ZZ 20 favor. Using a lower depth created more trade opportunities, and more profits.

I think depending on if you want more trades for the chance of possibly more profit, you can use a lower ZZ depth like 20, or if you want slow and steady then you can use a higher depth like 60 or 40.

I am running a new comparison test between ZZ 60, 40, and 20 to confirm, but I do think I'll know the answer next month. In the mean time I have updated the TE and it is now using ZZ 20 instead of 40 for now.

That is true and very common on the forums here. Someone will post a new trading system and members will pitch in with their ideas of how they think it can be made better etc, and before long when you look back it has changed completely and not for the better.

It's amazing that here on FF we have some keyboard forex gurus that always know better or think their ideas will improve the strategy yet the same individuals have never put up a successful TE demo or live...

I'm all for taking suggestions where it will improve on the strategy, and not chang or deviate from it. There's a fine line between improving on a strategy or deviating from it, the latter seems to happen most times around here. If members come up with ideas that wont change or alter the original strategy then I'm open to hearing them out.

Looking back at the beginning of this thread to where we are now is leaps and bounds ahead, and with the development of the EA from ebeckers it helped to elevate the strategy opening up more options of how to use the strategy. There are still many options that can be tried using the EA that won't deviate from the original strategy, and I encourage members to try them out. I can only do so many tests on my VPS lol..

I monitor closely members who chip on with ideas, and suggestions, and I won't let what happens to many other threads happen to mine.

You can exclude any individual pairs you want. This topic has already been covered so I suggest you read back and find it.

It's my first post here, still reading the thread far behind at page #46.
Many compliments to mrdfx, I already the chance to "meet" him on another thread here at FF.

I opened a demo account to practice with the strategy and get the handle of it, yesterday there weren't many signals, I took one on AUDCAD that hit SL.

The strategy in itself looks simple and promising, made even simpler thanks to ebeckers's EA, the secret here, besides picking the best setups, is to find proper exit values maybe even managing every single trade using different criteria according to current PA.

BTW: I saw TE plunging during the last days, what's up with it ?

Yes, I think most of us watch the TE closely besides making their own tests. BUT I wouldn't wonder about the losses. In the past we had already a phase of losses, after that the TE account went North again - so that's "normal" trading behaviour, like any manual trader might undergo as well. So - I can't say nothing more, we must be patient ......

Ya, losses are part of the game.

Today I'm in this one, not very good atm, but it's too early to say anything. Let's see how it will play out.

We can notice the losses in the TE because it happened when the account started trading with 0.05 lots per trade. since it started with 0.05, not much profit yet. This is usual and expected. it will definitely pick up very soon. i am expecting at least a 120% profit at the end of the month on the Account.

Quite right. Didn't notice that. So risk per trade more than doubled all of sudden ?
Maybe, after such a long time mrdfx felt more confident on the basis of very good results obtained.

Mrdfx explained that (if you read back).
Switched from RR +TS to TS only and doubled the lot size.

That said, losing 50% of your balance with no trades open to recover and having a buy-sell-buy-sell schema would be a definitive no-no for me.

hi, order trail is set at 41 pips, for tp 40

my friend analyse mrdfx TE, and now can be fiend optional tp for all pairs. and sl. Not a long period but good for new test.
you can choise your tp and sl from list.

imho, this is just my type of test, it is comfortable for me, it can not work for you. full automatic mode.

History is not exactly a month because Year % would be the same as Month %

My "this month" for me runs from 4/1 to 4/30.
If you made 210 pips (49%) in those 10 days let us know how.
