Eur/Usd On 3/29/2018 at 8am est.. Boulder Multi Time Frame System:

1H, Downtrend, Trend stop at 1H close 1.2332, Running Period: 51x1H
4H, Downtrend, Trend stop at 4H close 1.2464, Running Period: 4 x 4H
Daily, Uptrend, Trend stop at day close 1.2241, Running Period: 3 days

( Note: Those stops will change with hour close and price action)

Trading Strategy:

Currently 1H and 4H downtrend and daily uptrend. I would short.. But we are approaching month end and qtr end, I prefer to wait to see, since 1H downtrend stop is very close to be broken to be long..

Support: S1 1.2274, S2 1.2241, S3 1.2186
Resistance: R1: 1.2342, R2 1.2375 , R3 1.2430

my ea has 6 shorts going so far for this cycle... I did start a few manual longs in another account just in case...

wait to see we can get to TP1 2274 today.....its possible, we have only 40 adr today at 2295...

Hope your EA is not trading on demo and you are already counting your money or ordering a new car or house!!!

Two questions after having a short look:
Your stop losses seem quite extreme to me.
Do you you feel comfortable with them?
Did you ever run into one of them?

hey Candle, glad to see you here ..my ea trades on live.... I do have loss... but more gains than loss for sure..

You do know I said its pips gain,, actually bigger for bigger accounts, and vice versa.. so it depends .

regarding to stop loss and profit, for every entries, ea starts fixed stop loss and profit 20 X 1H ADR .. those are fixed in case of a sudden black swan event .

but the trades are more controlled by EA running stops at 1H close, those stops move with time and price.. sometimes those stops run extremely tight, like today, EA open 3 new shorts at 2311, 2317 and 2304, by 9am est EU 1H trend stop moved to 2331.. so stop loss only 10 -20 pips away...

mostly important, behind the scene, I have ' equity Sentry' ea for all my mt4 platforms , I set up DD % , all positions are auto closed and mt4 completely shut down when DD% is hit....

So .. ignore those fixed loss and profit in each entry.... only pay attention to the running stops when I do system update at 8am est daily....

after 62 hours downtrend run, 1H reversed its trend for a bounce.
Currently 1H and daily uptrend, 4H downtrend. A mix signal. If you trade 1H trend, preference is to long as long as Uptrend stop 1.2285 held at 1H close.


Support: S1 1.2286, S2 1.2272, S3 1.2248
Resistance: R1: 1.2315, R2 1.2329 , R3 1.2353

How Institutions Position Themselves In Euro/Usd This Week

Until Tuesday, institutions were seen increasing their net long positions in Euro to 2 week high, which was shown in the latest COT as of Tuesday, Mar 27, 2018.

The institutions net long Euro positions increased last week by 8,325 contracts to 141,064 contracts. 95% relative to the max long record

15,222 long positions were added, and 6,897 short positions were added as well. Now Longs total 234,656 contracts vs shorts total 93,592 contracts .

71% long exposure vs 29% short exposure, which 1% decreased in longs and 1% increased in shorts from previous week

This week Euro started at 1.2241 on 3/21, hit low at 1.2240, price then rallied to 1.2476 high on 3/27, closed at 1.2402

Longs and shorts being added, it indicates institutions' hesitation to take out of either side of daily supply zone 1.2400-1.2475 or demand zone 1.2280-1.2150. price has stayed in this range for last three weeks..

Long Term Bullish , Short Term Side Ways, Likely Point To Higher

Please note institutions take weeks and months to build a position in the currency market. For Euro, they have built their net long positions since 5/9/2017.
Therefore, the bullish sentiment is more for long term outlook, not intended for short term trading.
