What Would You Do Differently Today for Better Trading Results?

You need to start every new day as a new opportunity as trading requires to utilise every second properly. You need to learn from your previous day and implement the learning on the next day. You need to do the proper paper work for your each day trading in order to interpret the positive outcome from it.
Undoubtedly. Each time I am engaging in foreign currency trading my experience is increasing and with the passage of time I am as a forex trader gets the opportunities to learn new things each time. Each trade is unique and every time market changes in a new direction. And for improving my learning, I persistently go through all the new posts of this forum so that I can understand the pro traders’ actions regarding this volatile trading platform.
Every new trading day comes with challenges and offers the trader an opportunity to improve and be a master of their trade.

Do you do a periodic review of pairs on your watch list? This is what I learned to do recently. Nowadays, I subject some of the pairs on my watch list to a periodic review. I want to know which ones among them are meeting my criteria most of the time. Those not meeting such criteria are now being dropped and I will pick one or two to replace them for a while; subject to future review. This way, I keep myself from temptation to trade pairs that do not suit my trading style.

Until recently, I would have some pairs on my watch list but they tend to be the same pairs over a long period of time. Nowadays, I am dropping a few and replacing them with one or two which will be reviewed after a while.

My main area of focus is to let trades run and don't quickly execute an order. I need to slow down, let trades trigger with stop/limit orders rather than seeing a nice bar and just trying to hop on a short term trend. I've had much heartbreak with hasty entries by jumping on a giant candle only to see it immediately reverse as soon as I jump in.
Letting the market come to you; to meet the criteria you had identified!

Why do you need to improve and keep learning as a trader? Markets change, markets can throw you curves and challenges. And no trading strategy, system or method works all the time.

One key thing a trader should look out for about their system is how it helps them stay disciplined. More than making you money, imho, your system should keep you from being impulsive.

Always remember: If you are in doubt, stay on the sidelines. If there is no clarity of price action and your charts look ambivalent or confusing, avoid entering the market.

One of the things which I do to keep me out of trouble in Forex trading is weekly screening and analysis of pairs on my watchlist leading to a selection of 2-3 pairs to track and possibly trade during the week. I don't normally trade a pair which I had not screened and planned for during the weekly analysis.

Interesting thread by the OP.And thanks for sharing your thoughts and insight,

I agree that we must learn something new about forex markets and ofcourse WE must also learn to implement what we have learned and that too in a proper way otherwise it would be of no use at all,and even than the trading legend Wd gann himself told that even after becoming a master of markets he was still learning new things after 45 years.

However there were certain principles which he used constantly to beat the markets which were based on immutable natural laws which he called as a 'law of vibration'.Markets are driven by human beings. And human beings do not change. They repeat their behaviours, cycle-after-cycle.

But here is the thing I believe which most people are not aware of is that one must have a proper goal and vision of what,how and why to learn that 'something'
And than how to implement that 'something' and make it to convert into a tradeable idea.
However for doing that we must learn to unlearn what we have been told by others about the markets.

I remember a quote i saw somewhere which sums up about learning to unlearn

“The illiterate of the future are not those who can’t read or write but those who cannot learn, unlearn and relearn.” – Alvin Toffler

Now about what did 'I' Do or did;-
I found out the purpose behind what exactly i want to achieve in this markets i.e what,how and why to learn that 'something' and i was successfully in doing it. i.e converting that something into a tradeable idea.
No one ever Discovered anything new by colouring inside the lines.

Many would disagree but when trading support and resistance never move your stop loss to break even.
I would even go a step further and say never move your stop loss to break even at all.
and Never set your TP to a fix a amount it should always be base on price action.
I must admit however this does make taking profit more tempting so you must be able to keep a cool head and examine every situation.
This is a good observation imho. Moving your SL to BE too soon shows a lack of confidence in your setup and also poor risk-taking. You don't trade a position or an SL you are not comfortable with.

Trading last couple of days with flu so only just up for the week where I would be normally well ahead . In future just keep the PC off.

Remember not to stick to a single TF as knowing where you are regarding the order flow can be more than helpful.
