12005 is a great gap to cover...but I guess before go up market want retest friday's low, at least DAX CASH INDEX friday's low.

Only 4 days, included today, before Easter holidays....sharks in full action 24 hrs a day
small sizes, calm and steel nevrves are needed to survive
but if 880/890 zone hold will see 12000 later

the downtrend could be reversing could also explain why bulls are having such a hard time pushing it beyond that level today is the kind of day where you take what you can get (I was too greedy!) looks like 30pips is good enough for today the last drop prior the gap looks like a "clean out sitting ducks" kind of move ? seller are drying up but being a bull also seems like a risky business.

In this phase market needs only 1 news (maybe also a fake news) to go up or down for 100 and more pips in few minutes.
So structure is fragile but on both sides, long and short.
11830/820 could be a double bottom fo DAX CASH INDEX (5 march lows and last friday) and this morning market is building a base in this direction.
but only US will confirm the real next move later in the afternoon.

anyway I'll buy on the dips and I will short on spikes up.....or better stay flat

Very nervy first day back live FDAX : "In, out, shake it all about", with the emphasis on shake & out.

My horizontal line this morning was the same as the Friday Open, although I drew it before realising that (btw, my horizontal lines are sometimes at the same price, sometimes constantly changing).

Commissions covered; yellow dot short missed by hesitation; last entry which looks strange was because price hesitated for a couple of minutes at my line and I felt it might push down to the last swing low below 900.

Adesso un bel cappuccino...

I hear you, B, but I do feel it would be better for me to use 50 units x Ger30 (€5 per point, no commission, typical 1 point spread, 0.1 granularity) versus 1 x contract FDXM (also €5 point, €3.70 or so commission - I have a platform fee in there - 1 point spread, 1 point granularity).

I know you regularly build your FDXM positions, which probably makes Ger30 unsuitable for you.

GER30 works for me as long as you have a good broker.

I have always traded futures for many reasons I've explained here in this and previous journals....but at the end what it really matters that my pockets have more money at the evening vs the morning!
