Yes. She could have run. And if she had done it, my scouts were in perfect position to cover a future attack....
Actually I was expecting a deep PB... and I wanted to see it.
And don't ask me why... you will discover by yourself (at the right time).

oh yes ... you had scout(s) in so if runs off you already in market.

....we had run long strong took 15 mins in run so good strong move & took out prior high potential target.... retracement before this run lasted about 50 mins and so did this one..... I would have wondered to be honest if such a good push up would mean retracement was not so deep. If you did not already have man in would you have tested it earlier?

I really appreciate the illustration !

Now I get what you mean by "attack" "scale out" "add on" - beautiful execution in hindsight it looks as if you've just danced along effortlessly but like any top notch dancer you probably have had to pay the price - countless hours of practice, hard work, failure and rollercoaster of emotions. Maybe in 1 year of another full time training I aspire to get to your level. But for now I'll keep on working on my version of reduced universe - even this gets complicated sometimes as I try not to oversimplify.

I went short on the cup pattern handle few minutes into London open but eventually backed off - it was my first time trading the bearish cup pattern I would usually buy it from below but since I usually like to wait until 15-10minutes prior London open before opening any positions long position took off earlier than I would like to enter so I decided to wait for the short side the day before we also had almost identical bearish cup pattern but I took long from the bottom and didn't sell it at the top all the while you even sold the breakout to the downside 30minutes into Frankfurt again bought it from below before selling it at the top and rode the whole bearish wave down. Never seen this much flexibility and courage. Now I also think I half understand what you mean by never be rigid and be flexible. It's play on patterns. I of course will not even attempt what you're doing right now as I still haven't mastered my reduced and somewhat simplified version of my universe. But boy oh boy I want to get to your level someday !

And I absolutely have to agree with your response pay for your stop and pay for your information , you'll understand everything (reasoning behind trading decisions) eventually. Practice those steps 1,3,6 clap 1,3,6.

Yes. I'm really proud of being a "Black Sheep".

I tried to expose sets of concepts that attempt to explain Market's complex phenomenon... not explainable by traditional theories.
The main objective is to be able to deal with this (natural and artificial) system as it is, and not by "simplifying" it.
The main concept is to recognize that complex behaviour emerges from a few simple rules,
and that all complex systems are networks of many interdependent parts which interact according to those rules.


Complexity theory and chaos theory
both attempt to reconcile the unpredictability of non-linear dynamic systems with a sense of UNDERLYING order and structure.

Implications:
inability of any one formalism being adequate to capture all their properties.
pattern of short-term preemptible (anticipation) but long-term planning (almost) impossible (if not with extreme difficulty),
dramatic change "unexpectedly" (seemingly!),
approach can be tuned to be more innovative and ADAPTIVE!

Yes. The key is in these two concepts: "Adaptation" and "Change".

I don't know if I'm making up the name but I'm sure you have recognized that parabola shape ? deep retrace pullback from the trendline I either buy it below (you did buy it on Friday and sold it again at the top) or wait for a sell at the top but then again like you said this can also continue on to an uptrend but so far I've yet to encounter buy above the trendline break continuation of the uptrend prior London open but it could easily happen some day.

I've also realized when DAX wants to go up it goes up on a clean uptrend line, (its either an uptrend line clean and obvious or buying at the bottom of the coffee mug I have yet to see any other buy options that's worth at least 30pips and above in a downtrend thats going nice and clean below a trendline I can also buy the bottom the reverse move that happens just prior London open but these moves are chaotic and usually will not cover 30pips) again this my mental roadmap and I come up with the strangest terms for them "cup, handle" , range box, downtrend line etc. But for sell patterns they are plentiful as opposed to buys which so far is only two. This way I can at least differentiate buy or sell scenarios and the patterns from one another of course they change and mutate as the session gets going like you said so depending on "time" are you really not going talk about time partition 5/15/30? I decide on the direction and wait for a confirmation. As I understand it thus far when you say patterns don't exist you mean they change and evolve and they're not 100% fixed, so we as traders have to constantly feel the pulse and try to go with the flow. But having this kind of mental roadmap in form of patterns and their variations or possible scenarios that can generate from there on helps me tremendously !

PS: I also realized when its going down it can retrace up on a not so clean shallow uptrend line which in the old days I used to buy now I'm banging my head. I guess trading them personally and seeing them materialize in front of you is the only way to differentiate the buys from the sells.

And lastly so many typos I kept editing. Apologize if you read it and didn't understand what I was trying to say.

- Absolutely. Perfect. This is what I mean! Only that we must always remember that everything can change and everything can be defeated! EVERYTHING!
- So? So what? Basic! Move-Pull Back. But which one is the impulse and which one the correction? And when a trend must be considered changed?
- Your effort in attempt to comprehend is admirable. As I told you on your journal "It's all about your points of reference"... but choose carefully...!!!
- "V-Shaped Pull Back" (100%retrace) is one thing and "Cup and Handle", in the attachment the Bearish form, another.
Look at the yesterday m5 in the proper way. Zoom out!
Market formed a "Cup and Handle" at the close of the day before... and opened in V-Shaped. Retest of the handle @12.000, rejection, continuation South!

Bye. Study, study, study. Practice, practice, practice.

PS. About patterns recognition: when I say "or (they) simply don't exist!", I mean that "We always see what we want to see!"

They're too many around here some are bigger some are smaller but they are a few that are humongous !
Journal is a journal it is a personal/individual space anyone can write what they want or please to - no one's forcing anyone to read them through.
Journal is for rambling, taking out their emotions, studying, learning and sharing - whatever he/she wants to use it for.
No one's asking participation from anyone around here - a reader/passerby has the freedom of his/her choice to read or to participate around here - it's called journal section for a reason duh ! It's not worth venturing around here to unfamiliar routes - I don't want to read them and lose a single cell over those humongous ego !
