I have a buy on the 4hr chart, you are using the daily so it could well be the right call from the EA, D

Mine has a valid signal on UJ as well. I am on Traders Way. I have seen different brokers behave differently with EA's so this certainly could be the issue. Either way...it is in profit, so the strategy holds true

On my chart the MBFX is not validated, perhaps it is different with your guys broker. Well as long as it is in profit for you guys!

Today has been a good day, +6%, and +168 pips for the day is win win for me.

Hello traders,

I am new in this thread and just downloaded the version 1.21; made a backtest for some pairs going back 4 months or so, and never seen this EA profitable.

I may be doing something wrong or should I change any settings to see a profitable backtest?

Hi mrdfx, ebeckers. Thanks for your great work. I want to ask - is it possible to add R:R proportion manually changing in EA? What I mean: settings for now 1:1, 2:1 etc. I want to try: 1.25:1 or 1.5:1 or 1.3:1 etc. Thanks

MRDFX along with others are currently live with the EA, forward testing, it could be all manner of things as to why you have the results you do, my only suggestion is to input the set files being used, there are two sets running on two EA's, MRDFX has tested both and good results have been achieved, check the TE (trade explorer) above and this will give you some idea, recreate this and run it live on a demo, this way will you get a better idea of performance, the set files are a few pages back if you could look for them, or someone may know the exact post, hope this helps, D

Greetings Pippin Family,

So I've been tweaking this EA for a while, and now I must ask for some assistance. Just for clarification, novice question, but if stoplossatzigzag is set to False, then Trailing Stoploss Settings is what kicks in, and if set to True that will ignore Trailing Stoploss Settings, am I correct?

Second can someone explain the trailing stoploss section to me, I thought I understood but it's not behaving the way I think it should. It will gain a lot of positive pips, and when I turn around I've lost them back. I want to capture my positive pips, then get tapped out if there's a reversal. I'm used to setting my trades with a 20-25pip trailing stop. With this EA I see OrderHiddenSL, and OrderTrail, and Triggers, I just want to understand that better and I think I'll be good.

Just for the record this is a DAMN GOOD EA thanxx to the team!!! Keep up the great work

Still a little out of sync, if it's a broker thing it just goes to show how results can be effected, D

Ruckstar see below for a more detailed explanation of the trailing stop.

It uses a hidden / virtual stoploss. This allows you to put the stop loss anywhere without the broker knowing, and without any broker restrictions.

So when the EA places a new order then the initial hidden/virtual stoploss is placed at:

- The previous high/low when stopLossAtZigZagArrow = true
- Or at OrderHiddenSL pips, when stopLossAtZigZagArrow = false

When trade gets into profit we trail the hidden / virtual stoploss like this:

  1. When profit reaches Order TS1 Trigger pips, the virtual stoploss is moved to Order TS1 pips.
  2. When profit reaches Order TS2 Trigger pips, the virtual stoploss is moved to Order TS2 pips.
  3. When profit reaches Order TS3 Trigger pips, the virtual stoploss is moved to Order TS3 pips.
  4. When profit reaches Order TS4 Trigger pips, the virtual stoploss is moved to Order TS4 pips.
  5. When profit goes above Order TS4 Trigger pips then the rest gets trailed with the Trailing Step.

The Order trail is the trail step on how many pips the trail stop will move.
