Usually when I am in this situation where momentum is out of alignment,
1. I'll wait for price to reach HTF levels and trade on the nested entry levels or when price has made another LL/HH.

In EURUSD from my perspective,
MONTHLY

Price has touched Monthly CP Supply, momentum is still up with 20EMA below price. Last month candle close shows no significant price action indicating signs of sellers. My take on this would be price MAY cut above this supply level but we'll see what this month's close will show.

WEEKLY

Weekly price action showing price is in equilibrium. Decision is in the making. This can be seen by 2 weekly inside candles forming within Monthly proximal line. Weekly momentum is up with 20EMA being below last week candle. Weekly demand level can be seen at 1.20290 formed with a bullish engulf pattern and taking out previous supply level. If price eliminates the weekly demand zone with strong bearish candle(s) which I assume will break the momentum trendline as well, then I will be looking for short setups.

DAILY

Daily made a break of momentum trendline, however I do not see this as a short opportunity on nearest new supply levels, but this shows price is in consolidation( as indicated by flat 20EMA). Price may travel higher as Monthly and Weekly momentum is still showing up. Taking shorts and longs are no go.

Action Plan:

No trade. Wait for HTF price action to show some movement.
Either,
1. Price will move in deeper into Monthly supply, which can be seen by the Weekly bullish pinbar close above 20EMA. However, if price still makes a HH we are still not able to buy since we're in Monthly Supply.
2. Price breaks Weekly demand and momentum line, creating a new weekly supply. Shorts be done in Daily timeframe based on rules. However, will still need to consider to take the short since there is a monthly buying (not demand) zone below which was from a bullish engulfing pattern, so if profit margin is good, will take.

Agree with your analysis.

Note that there is a level on top of your SZ level on D1 (Check Autokon's post).

Reason why I didn't take that higher level as supply is because it didn't take out any previous demand. The level I marked took out a demand level and break the momentum trendline. The level above is considered "inherited supply"

We're still in an uptrend though on the HTF so I don't really think these supplies are good to take unless a HTF demand is taken out.

Yeap. I placed a limit order for short within the weekly after last month candle shows a bearish engulf pattern. Based on the monthly chart, price is correcting itself towards a weekly demand 124.630 since it confluence slightly with the monthly momentum trendline.

I'm also waiting on a break of the momentum line for a confirmation entry on this pair.

Correlation wise, im also looking at a short on GU.
1.Downward momentum established on D1
2.Decent SZ on 4h with respect to D1 momentum

At first I drew the zones like you did, but after a second look I decided to wait for a better price.

Hello friends.
AUDUSD
Price at daily supply, momentum down. There a couple of h4 and h1 zones nested in daily supply. I'm thinking of placing a limit order around 0.7850 to make sure that my limit will be activated, stop loss above daily supply. What do you think about this setup?

Below you can see my long counter trend setup that I took before this. It worked out better then I expected.

Hello Michael and others, Thank you for a great thread. I would like to ask you, what helped you on the way to learn and develop “your own” trading style with supply and demand?

I am really interested in this way of trading and I want to learn as much as I can. I know there are few videos on youtube and for example you thread, but do you have anything else? For example any book, or course or anything or any advice where should I start. (i am not a beginner - I just finally found a style of trading which I want to learn and use for a profitable trading)

I think the methodology makes a distinction between "trend" and "momentum".

I would rather trade with the trend / momentum.
However there are factors that may need to be considered.
What about proximity of the zones ? How strong are they ?
What if the momentum is reversed at the zones ? Can I take at trade in the LTF ?

Also I trade the HTFs. So if a SZ or DZ is reached and the future possible direction is now aligned with a HTF, that's great isn't it ?

first u gotta define what type of trader you are?
scalper? day trader? swing trader? position trader?

then u start to define what market criteria u wanna apply supply n demand to,
trend follow? counter trend? or both?

when u clear on that, then u can start learning the basics of supply n demand which can be found in this thread or in fox's post .

take it slow. dont rush in.

took me 2 years to understand the fundamentals of Supply and demand and im still learning new stuff as i go by.
i just want to make 10% gain a month.

Good to meet you and welcome to T.I.O.F
I am pleased that you find the information useful.

With regards to your question about what helped me, first i would like to correct the assumption that this is "my own" trading style.
It is not "My own" in that sense of the phrase. I made a point to decide, make a decision as to what i wanted to do, which was learn about speculation as a whole. THen learn various methodologies deliberately, before deciding on one main framework through which i view the markets. I have mostly always paid for my education. I have not sought to reinvent the wheel. I have stood on the shoulders of mentors i paid and learnt from.

If i were to be pressed to say the one thing that has and still does keep me going, its MINDSET.
After all the methodologies and approaches and frameworks traders use to understand market information, it always, always comes down to that, MINDSET.

I am not worried about being wrong. I often am.
I don't decieve myself anymore that one methodology is better than another. Its just not the case.
Every methodology, properly applied, with the right mindset, hard-work and focus, will work.

When i speak to traders i mentor now, i try to give them this mindset. To get away from the idea of oh, elliot wave is better than fibonacci or volume spread analysis is better than classical technical analysis. It just does not matter.

What i think matters, is the mindset of the person using the methodology.

Trading stretches me. It still does even after over a decade at it. It must otherwise i would give it up.

So if i may, i would urge you to focus on developing the mindset of the speculator.

The Speculator:
He is often wrong. He never oversizes himself and so never gives one single bet that right or opportunity to take him out of the game.
He is a learner who grows and extracts some value, however small, from every business deal he engages in, losses as well as gains.
He never insists his analysis is right and must play out. He knows when to fold and sit back. He understands he is an emotional being with a rationalizing (not a rational) mind and so knows he will always have emotions, contrary to what is popular culture in the world of speculation, that one must be emotionless. He deals with emotions differently. Rather than try to kill them which is an exercise in futility, he uses them as feedback to help him get an edge in the markets.

So chyldom, whether you take my course or any other, please focus on what is most important. Ignore the window dressing and get inside the meat of the matter.
