Hi all
Yesyerday I've wanted to try the last version of medusa for testing the news.
For the 1 st, I've set Trending on news= false and for the second, Trending of news=true.
Of course it was USD the queen currency but in both cases I have had a sell USD.
The results have been bad with a loss of 1.5 % for the day.
So my conclusion don't change about news: we have to avoid them...there is an option in the EA for that.
If you want to play the news, there are others strategies or you can throw a coin ...50/50.
There are others signals in a session out of news.
I remind that GS don't have to be used 24/24 but by session...if at the end of the session you observe a loss you cut your position.

Perhaps our coders can code "trade by session 1,2,3" settings.

I suspect your SL is -$100 on the EA? If so then it is too small compared to the deal size you are using
if you want to use 1 lot for this system you have to put sl to -10000 and tp to 1000 is absurd....

Today perhaps very strong news and currencies... my ea first time hit stop loss....

yes.. we are here for that... testing.. no easy on forex... perhaps it will be helpful this you call the standard deviation of a currency but i know nothing about it and how to exclude it from trading because it is too strong the directio0n???? too complicate to mee....

I'm also working on the "ghost" version.
Another way instead of use the ghost basket, the logic is the same:

1. Wait the trigger as usual, for instance @ delta -4.7
2. Wait the drawdown for instance @ delta -6.5
3. Open the basket when delta returns to -4.7
4. Place the stop @ delta -6.5
5. Difference between open and stop deltas is 1.8, so if we close the basket when delta is -1.1 the risk reward will be 2.

That doesn't work like that.
Between @-4.7 and @ -6.5, you can virtually have a -30% basket, or a -0.1% basket (if delta jump directly to the max).

And,
Between a @-0.1% basket and a @-5% basket, you can virtually have the same delta, even a negative differential delta.
