80 pips green so far but still holding. Looking for one more surge down to the 83.50 area.

Hoping the orgy of morning red news for US/CAD will get my CAD/JPY longs filled. Divergent buy zone limit orders waiting like a lion in the tall grass.

from daily chart, we can see its a 80-90 consolidation, now we are in the middle. so can only trade short-term chart

30MIN its a 84.5-85.5 consolidation. so hard to judge. and better wait and see.

CAD/JPY is trading into a Daily Demand, on top of strong Weekly Demand zone.
@82.223 - @81.830 is very strong support (Monthly/Weekly) and a good place to start watching for entries.

At the moment, CAD/JPY looks like it may be at a cross roads. A break out up to 86.50 or waning momentum on market fears and a sell off back to 83.50?

Uncertainty in the oil market as well as the world trade market should keep CAD data dependent going forward. Any disappointments could initiate some selling. I'm building short position and expect to hold for 3-4 weeks. Time will tell.

A little math, a bit of physics, a lot of fractal geometry, all mixed together with some crazy middle-aged guy thinking and voila, we have a trade idea. NO indicators on the chart just an amalgamation of my thoughts expressed geometrically using my penchant for pastels. A bit messy for sure but it's my process for setting ENTRY/TP/SL levels in advance so that there's no guess work upon execution.

ASIDE: This mind altering semi lucid analysis may be flawed in every possible aspect and it won't matter one bit if proper risk management isn't used. We all strive to win in this business but if you don't manage your capital properly, then you may miss the next "diamond in the rough" type trade. Get your capital management under control. Get your execution price levels firmly established in advance. Then execute your trade and take pride in the fact that you made a professional trade to the best of your ability. Im monitoring this pair currently. Compared to the other major pairs money flows out of the CAD into other currencies, mostly JPY [for whatever reason]. Since the JPY is about to be weakening I expect a short squeeze to the upside on the CAD/JPY. After that move if the overall market reverses => by tommorrow end of new york session CAD will be the strongest currency.
