we can only retain our concentration for so long. I think you're being too hard on yourself, come one! you've done 147pips. I'd call it a week

Aside from the joke I think at some point it becomes counterproductive to push yourself to keep on trading. I personally can't do it more than 30min on DAX and 1h on GJ and thats how long I should keep the trade running and how long I'm willing to work may sound lazy and too few hours to work especially for someone who isn't working but it's been having a positive effect on my performance and mental health, so I decided this is the way to trade - for me.

What is the logic behind my pages?
If you wanna trade in the proper way, you need to build the skills!

Yes, I know, we all instinctively want to compete and play...
but we need to build our trading skills BEFORE we subject it to the distorting pressures of competition.
When you realise the amount of time it takes... it will be too late.
And, last but not least, I mean it's not enough to practise the Art of Trading in the right way by itself
and it's not enough just to be motivated in the right way by itself.
You need both of those things together!

Training (in every profession or human activity) it's The Hard Part!
We normally think of that sort of a struggle as being unproductive...
it's very uncomfortable to be in that emotional spot,
it takes a certain amount of energy to stay there...
and so we forget, we don't see the point: this is really how our brains are built to learn!

I have been playing guitar and riding horses for about 40 years now!
I can't give, to all of you, a better example.
It's just constant (IF CORRECT!, of course) repetition of sequences, trying to get everything down to the finest detail of perfection.
Hours and hours of study and exercise to push you to and through the limits. Yours and the absolute ones.

Some days that's a real struggle and it doesn't work
but you just keep going and you might keep falling
but eventually you nail that... the skill and the feeling of what you are doing are now at a new, higher level!

This is my (crazy) universe.

Each one of us must find his proper, personal, self-tailored way.
