Happy Monday guys!

We are into the last stretch for the test with linked TE. On Friday we reached +109% growth on the account, and then I went and jinxed it!

Friday we took a bit of a knock but I'm confident we will complete this test successfully.

After this test concludes I will gather all the data, and use that to create my next test on a LIVE account!

No disrespect here but curious, what exactly are you going to analyze ? (before you go live)
Because if you end every four weeks at a marginal profit the only one that will be happy is your broker.

We all know that you have been trading your system manual including the account for a friend (you showed us) so how are they doing now ?
Please post those results in order to determine if the EA is working correctly or that this system should be traded manually.

Not offended at all FxMadness. I'm going to analyze the 4 different settings I am testing, and to see overall which one is the most profitable over the test period. I also can't run longer tests on demo as with my broker they only offer 30 day demo accounts. Anyway 1 month is long enough to get a good idea on certain settings, and what is working and what isn't.

Yes on my personal live account and friends account, I am using the EA to trade the signals manually only, and along with some other things. Like I mentioned before on live I'm using the dash to get the new signals, then I cross check them to confirm, and see if I like them, and then trade. Currently the EA is only being run on auto on the demo account.

My next test will be a live account with modified settings which I will decide after this test is completed.

Do not think that is going to cut it.
You have to dig deeper and find out sessions/keep trades over sessions/over weekend/entry hours/news and so on.
If you don't it is going to look more of that "you loose or you win 50/50" systems.

Again i must say that the mrdfx (your) system looks good but as results for me the difference trading manual and with the EA being almost at 100% there is no EA option for now.

Well as you're so interested in those 2 accounts from this post, https://www.forexfactory.com/showthr...3#post10714033 here is an update, and its still going well.

Yes you are indeed right, I do need to dig deeper and I will. I need to find out why the trades lost, from news? or market volatility? or time of day/session? etc, I will look into it.

Another thing and to be honest with you is that not all manual systems can be profitable when tuned into an EA, which we have seen many times here on FF. Sometimes having the human element in making decisions cant be replicated into an EA successfully, and even though the strategy is solid, the EA falls just short of being profitable.

Now that is not to say that this EA cant be different, I really believe ebeckers has created something special with a lot of potential, and if I didn't believe in it, I would not spend my time on it at all.

What we need to do is figure out how to give this EA that edge that having an human element or interaction, and see how we can turn it into a successful EA, and not a 50/50 system.

So far this EA is showing promise of being successful at trading this strategy on full auto, and I have been chatting with ebeckers on some new developments that should improve things when added.

I feel confident that this will be a successful system on auto, but still have the manual option for those who like to have full control of their trading.

If your demo broker is P'Stone, what I did was contact support and request that they make the demo account "non-expiry" and it will be set to not expire after their automatic normal 30 day period.

Got the new version, I take it to be used on default settings, will trade it live but cannot put trade explorer up, but could post results, any advice from here, anything to change??

Not a higher get deal to change apart from your own money management i.e. risk reward or trailing stop settings.
You could play with them candles and mbfx settings but there hasn't been and proven results with their changed settings. The more people testing the merrier and we can hone in optimum results and learn good market conditions for entry. I.e. limit pairs traded/news/times etc.

There are some ideas posted previously with various filters including 200SMA and S/R. I'm testing the ''vanila" strategy as originally posted by mrdfx as well as the S/R filter ebeckers has added.

I'm getting positive pips for many openings but MM is the key to success for this strategy I believe. Figuring out what the average trade times are for the H4 TF and why trades lose.

If I remove all indicators will the EA work normally? I trade only EA, and it bothers me that I have chart over the dashboard.

Don't have to have any indicator on chart. Just make sure you have the files in the zip installed correctly.

You can run the EA without the indicators as they have already been coded into the EA.

Load a blank chart and then load the EA to have an uncluttered clean display.
