Hi Nick,

Hope you do not mind asking you a question about this chart:

CADJPY W1 / H4

In this situation do we still have a long-bias? Do we need the bullish-engulf to be removed before considering shorts?

So, we would still be looking for a long opportunity on the H4?

Sorry for asking something you probably already explained it very well in your charts, but this is not very clear to me yet.

No problem mate. For shorts we need a bearish engulf to be removed before thinking shorts. That hasn't happened yet and as you can see bullish engulfs are being respected so wait on the h4 for new valleys/longs.

Hey Nick,

Very interesting setup. Thank you for sharing it.

One question regarding the trend/change/re-alignment... are you looking for the levels to be respected/broken or the engulfs?

Also, how do you deal with newly-created engulfs against the current trend? As long as no engulfs have been broken, you continue in the original direction?
For example the TSLA chart you posted some time ago.

Hi mate, check the first post, it is all there. You need to have an engulf removed with a close to change trend so opposing engulfs dont have power until they remove opposing engulfs (with close).

OK, trend change understood. But which one are we looking for to be removed? Levels or engulfs? Sometimes you mention levels and sometimes engulfs... and they can have different prices depending on the basing formation

The engulf/level/zone is the same thing. Everything you need to know is in the 1st post
