because of you not setting your orders or was waiting for confirmation?

I have missed the euraud trade also why? Iīve forgotten to put my orders in (kick myself in the AXX).

I didn't liked the idea of trading asian session, the zones where created by european traders and I was waiting for them to start the day. But I guess asians liked that supply zone also . At the beginning of euro session I saw that traders try to sell, but the price was already too far from my supply zone and I didn't have enough profit margin to take the trade (hey Michael).

i have them both and i am planing to ride them tilld daily zones. GBPUSD falling too i had nice short with 3:1 from the same zone that we talked about with you Cheers. I also have NZDJPY

1. New supply created and confirmed on D1
2. Bearish momentum can be established on 4h
3.Wide profit margin on h1

How many pips above/below do you guys place your stop losses? 10 - 20 pips or is there a S&D Strategy for it?

Hello Supply and Demand Traders,

I have a custom expert advisor which trades off supply and demand zones.

The zones it trades off are from this source - https://www.mql5.com/en/code/14545 (indicator attached below).

Here are the rules of the EA:
- When price reaches the proximal level of an untested supply zone it will enter a sell trade.
- When prices reaches the proximal level of an untested demand zone it will enter a buy trade.
- The stop loss is placed one pip outside of either zone.
- The take profit is 3 times that of the stop loss. (ie. R:R=3:1)
- It has been developed in mql4 (runs on mt4)

Let me know what you guys think!

and do you move stops to break even and when?

PS my stops for longs are 1-2 points below the demand zone and for shorts are spread +1-2 points above the supply zone.
And I don't move SL to break even, wondering if you all do.

oh, that less ? so you donīt give the market enough room? Iīve noticed that I always get stopped out if my sl are to tight and then the market goes to my favor but without me :-(.
regarding break even, I donīt have a strategy for that at the moment.
right now I just take my minimum 2:1 and get out of the trade. another way would be take some profit off of 2:1 and the set the stop loss to break even.

I think the zone is the place where a "big player" would consider to add to his position and if the price broke through the zone's high or low then there isn't any "big player" there. A big player would never allow the price to push through a zone's high or low, because if he will allow this then many breakout traders will begin to enter the market and it would be difficult for the "big boy" to push the price in opposite direction.
If I enter on h1 time frame then I hold my position open till next h4 or daily zone, but minimum 3R.

1. High quality supply created on D1 within past week.
2. Bearish momentum on D1
3. supply created on 4h is powerful and with respect to D1 momentum
4. High profit margin. Next fresh demand not even on screen.

If i may, whilst this is true broadly speaking, there are a few little things that must be put into consideration when placing stops

Firstly, there is usually more than one big player in any market. If the big player tests the level, goes one pip or two pips above it and finds no one is willing to buy at those levels, the prices will by nature of supply and demand, have to come down.

Secondly, it is important to consider both market structure, market liquidity, as well as the inherent market volatility when placing stops. It is always advisable to place stops where if prices get to that level then the trader is pretty certain he/she is incorrect in their thesis.

Thirdly, the purpose of the trade i.e short, medium or long term should also be factored into the equation when placing stops. A trader taking the Monthly weekly daily sequence can expect to need wider stops compared to someone else trading the daily, 2hr, 30min sequence for example.
