Going in to the second half of the morning, I'm finding it tricky. No trades yet today.

We have to run out of buyers at 03.50 eventually, don't we? LOL

did a little research over the weekend to try and shorten candle length so I did 400 tick chart today and it was textbook pullbacks

it always is isn't it. try looking at a 400 tick and see what trades would you have gotten

Never a truer word been said. The margins between a successful trade and a failure are so so tight...

Even when you get it right, you can then get it all wrong...

Incidentally, the red line, is the gap close position. For me, that and the extremes are the most powerful of all MP lines...

Help me out CG...What are the lines created from that create your Gap area. I'm sure it should be obvious, but I'm at work and not seeing it.

It is the closing price at 16:00 US close. I can't remember how i set it all up now, but it uses OHLC. I had to have two separate studies, cos i wanted the extremes to print using midnight to midnight...

I use the (uncluttered) 233 for trading mainly, but also keep the 512 with Volume profile on another screen;

It might look a little untidy or cluttered, mainly because i can't stop it printing current volume during the day to the left of PA, (plus i've scrunched it up to show previous days), but when you see the reactions at the usual value areas or valleys/peaks, it's hard to argue with...

I prefer volume profile personally. I just think it is common sense that by using volume it takes into account all PA, whereas, using time profiling, it must become lop-sided when PA spends a lot of time in an area outside of US hours... the profile will be created out of low volume times. I would rather see what is value based upon the volume of contracts traded...

I'd forgotten how much i love the Q,

It just bounced nearly 100 ticks in little over 3 minutes! and again, clean off of my V.peak line in last chart;

So the blue line is the close based on 16:00 and the red line is the open at midnight?

Some days with 4 or 5 trades that yield BE+1 after going up 6ticks . . . . And then they continue for 15 or more ticks after you are out. Its that question of preserving captital vs letting it run . . .

and some days like today where I got 5 trades 4 wins and a loss for a net of 73 for me its preserving capitol first
