Hello fellow traders, my +40 trade for the day.

This was an early one before my meetings started, unexpectedly quick trade!


Session Frankfurt/London 0700hrs: EUR-USD 16/01/2018
Daily: opened below 0.0 Fibo
ROMAR: Support
EMA: Suport
Parabolic: Support

Notes: Daily well out of balance with Purple, looking for signs of a SHORT


H4
ROMAR: Support
EMA: Support
Parabolic: Support

Notes: Horsemen turning after numerous failed higher highs – White at the crossing of Purple. Market under Smooth.


H2
ROMAR: Support
EMA: Support
Parabolic: Support

Notes: Horsemen – Purple & Smooth in possible Slider. DB attached at top, numerous failed higher highs as per H4, MACD below 0.0, SAR attached at bottom.

H1
ROMAR: Support
EMA: Support/Reistance
Parabolic: Resistance

Notes: H1 Parabolic flipped for the down 4hrs ago, BB’s closing in for a breakout.

Final Notes: Consolidated uptrend but Market is way out of balance with Purple – I’m looking for a SHORT entry. The failed higher highs on H4/H2/H1 support a SHORT, the question is when?.......H1 BB’s narrowing in are a sign it’s imminent....

Adjustments: None

Short: just after opening of H1 0700gmt candle.

Result: +40

Once you see a few of these (this was one I revisited several times after a previous -40 and then Dana and Shaun's comments post 10794 and a few earlier) you really recognise the signs of an imminent SHORT or LONG.

My entry was at 0702 gmt and by 0711 some ‘news’ had dropped – another unexpected news hitting my trade, but again the Paradox was saying the right thing. Another trade was on for the next H2 candle in the same direction after the retrace, so whichever way I looked at it , it appeared either one would’ve been the right trade to take.

Pretty simple, right? Remember, that this is for trends only, with Higher Highs or Lower Lows.

Ok, so what to do if we have a trend, and we get the SAR detach at the PSAR but the MACD is the other way (usually on the same bar or the bar before). I sometimes use this method to enter, and it works remarkably well.

Lets say we have a Daily Uptrend on all charts,
and we get the SAR attach at the PSAR but the MACD is under the zero line.
I will simply wait for the PSAR to flip down
and after the close of that first down PSAR I will enter long. Obviously, the SAR will have changed to the DB with the deeper pullback

i hope it is implemented correctly, my only consideration was daily was in consolidation yesterday
TP was hit when i woke up.

Does anyone has the compilation of all the posting by Dove from starting of the thread until now? Appreciate if anybody willing to share as this thread had grown so much that it is a pain in the ass to reread the whole tread.

Dear Dana & Shaun I have a question that I've actually wondered about for some time and was reminded of yesterday. Perhaps this has been covered and I've missed it, if so I apologize! It has struck me that entry rules may be somewhat different at the opening of the market, be it Sunday or the daily Sydney open. Yesterday is a good example of this. At Sydney open there was a slight gap down and an open bar above Smooth, which in consolidated markets signals an entry. If one entered long at that point the Mkt produces some +50 pips. I did not enter because Rules also state that in consolidation one enters only from the extremes (in this case roughly 0.0 & 61.8). So you see my confusion. Was I right not to enter and play it safe? Was it just chance that the Mkt produces +40 in this case and that generally speaking the risk would be too high to enter? Or was I wrong not to enter at open above Smooth (which was also in sync with ROMAR & DB trend), missing a proper entry?

ROMAR: Support
EMA: Suport
Parabolic: Support

Notes: Rebalanced to Purple during the night, 4 Horsemen still UP, MACD UP, Fibo DOWN.


H4
ROMAR: Support
EMA: Support/Resistance
Parabolic: Support

Notes: Horsemen in a Purple/Smooth slider, however Purple has crossed White & Smooth - Parabolics/EMA/Market are close together, last DBSAR with both Divergences at the top. Breakout possible…

H2
ROMAR: Support (out of trading zone)
EMA: Support/Resistance
Parabolic: Support/Resistance

Notes: Horsemen – Purple has crossed White/Smooth and is about to cross EMA for the down. Parabolic has also flipped for the down. Last EMA arrow DOWN – Fibo DOWN

H1
ROMAR: Support
EMA: Resistance
Parabolic: Resistance

Notes: H1 Parabolic flipped for the down few hours previous, Market retrace off ROMAR back to EMA.

Final Notes: With the position of H4 in a state of flux I am looking for a possible entry dictated by my H2 trading chart. H2 Purple is at EMA for the down and the Parabolic has flipped – also note that ROMAR is out of trading zone, therefore my interpretation from the rules is that we are in BB Ranging, top to bottom, hence no DB just SAR….I therefore await a slight retrace on H2 open candle to EMA, see it react, then enter my trade Short………enough pips to lower BB to take the trip!

Adjustments: None

Short: 15 mins after opening of H1 1000gmt candle.

Result: +40

Well Mark -- The entry would had been at risk because it already gone 40 pips. In my trade I waited for the SAR to attache from bottom to top and entered for the short without the risk; back to ROMAR. We are in a Ranging Mode.

We have been in a long and vigorous uptrend beginning the week of May 4, 2016; which is a year and half with 2178 pips from bottom to top. If this high holds then we will be looking at a ranging mode between 136.624 and 132. 440 or just over 400 pips. This information is from the weekly Fibo chart. The trend is still up on the weekly. If this week ends down below the weekly CP then we may begin to see consolidation on the weekly chart. If this happens then you traders are in for a treat of learning how to trade. Time will tell with the high as it is now.

If you want a Weekly chart to keep track of what's happening from week to week then install the Daily on a weekly chart and delete all indicators except the Purple - ROMAR - and the Fibo. But let me remind you - this is not a trading chart.

Thanks for your reply Dana. My impression was that it was too risky (from the center of course) and that I needed to wait. As I did. I fully realize this is basic consolidated trading rule stuff...but a possible entry right at open is what got me thinking, apparently outside the rules. I'm happy reducing risk in any way I can.

For everyone's information - I do use the Weekly for a reference on support and resistance with the 4 Horsemen which helps me to reference the weekly movement from week to week.

Self evaluation:
When Yesterday 17.00 EST i already know that my short was wrong trade
The reason is i failed to see Ranging was in the making
With ROMAR holding as Support and DB attached on it we are in ranging so we should trade from extreme
H4 PSAR also holding as Support with EMA still Support
And i shorted in the middle which is why my TP and SL was reached in 24 hour
the correct Trade would be Long at ROMAR Support confluence with H4 PSAR Support, which is trade from extreme (Bottom)
