I partially excuse you, you joined several month ago

If your method allows you to profit from crashes, then why worry? Does it matter why it moved?

But if the answer matters to you, I whole hearty set you on the quest to find why this crash happened.

US dollars has been falling. So is yen.
Apparently there is news on Eur bond buying.
Technically Ive been waiting for it. The fall needs to take a breather.

China announced that it may reduce or stop, buying US Treasury's. There was a slight delay between the announcements and the reaction.

To be honest, I dont have a clue and I dont care. I was short EURCAD and I noticed the strength of the CAD stalled and my thesis was no longer right. Maybe the bankers no longer believe the CAD will raise rates. woke up to a surge in the YEN which i didnt understand. Then a surge in EUR and CHF. I think its just accumulation for a bigger move or just cause and effect. One of those things we as retail traders cannot predict

Chinese, being owners of the longest wall in the world (physically and metaphorically), understand very well, that hiding behind a wall in a long term does not pay off.

Price action....just kidding! Talking seriously, we don't need to know specifically why a price move took place. What we need to know is how to successfully trade the move.

Trade safe and prosper.

Thanks for your info! Most constructive reply here. I mistook the news. Great info.. fundamentally rocky for dollar

add: seems like China halting bond purchases rumor was not the complete reason as well. euro surge was from ECB minutes, indicating they might harden the guidance for their policy settings
