Hey guys, how to get Sierra Chart to display daily profit/loss in the number of ticks (2, 3, 9, etc) versus the added tick value (0.25, 0.75, 2.25, etc) ? Thanks!

select ticks in advanced settings

Hello All. I hope you all had a happy new year. I have not posted for a while. A couple of unexpected events kept me away. I have been doing a lot of replay over the holidays, and fell good about it all. I am looking forward to a great year with you all.
Cap - I think it was you who was asking about the book Trade Mindfully. I have read it, and am rereading it again. For me it is a very good book. Eye opening really, to learn about the tricks your mind plays on you, and you don't even know it. I truly believe between the book and Harold's method of trading 123's, 2B's and hooks, I will succeed! I do think that like everything else, you will get out of the book what you put into it. I do practice mindfulness on a daily basis now, and even do a 15 minute meditation before trading. For me it is helping.
Meanwhile I did not trade yesterday, started the new year today. 2 trades. a +20 and a +15. Done in 8 minutes. My daily goal is 30 ticks trading just 1 con. My daily loss limit is also 30 ticks.
Let's all make this the Break Out year that we are looking for!

Do I have this right about hooks? On most days the emphasis is on regular pullbacks not hooks but on mornings like today and yesterday when price really takes off the emphasis is more on hooks, which to me are just mini pullbacks, because the regular deep pullbacks just don’t appear much on fast moves like today.
In this chart example from this morning price has taken off so I don’t expect a regular pullback and am looking for a place to quickly hop onto the trend.

Candle 1 starts to pullback and has a lower high than the previous candle so I place a buy stop 1 tick above candle 1 after it has printed.
Candle 2 doesn’t come up to trigger the order and has a lower high than candle 1 so I bring the buy stop order down to 1 tick above candle 2 after it has printed.
Candle 3 also doesn’t come up to trigger the order and has the same height as candle 2 so the buy stop doesn’t have to be adjusted, it stays the same, 1 tick above candles 2 and 3.
Candle 4 comes up and triggers the buy stop.

Is this correct or should I somehow be using buy limit orders like the regular pullbacks?

you outlined it perfectly the hooks are entered with buy stop for longs sell stops for shorts only the pullbacks are entered with limit order

What type chart do you like for dax (noting its a much thinner market than NQ (at least NQ at NYSE open) ?
