That's strange as if you see the chart the MBFX is not valid.

Interesting that your dash is not showing CHFJPY signal as valid.

Perhaps it could be your broker.

My runner is AAAFX and as you can see, the last candle does not appear.

This week the TE is doing very well.

Over 1000 pips so far with $864 total profit. All trades using 0.1 lot ($1 per pip)

It's still early days and also I'm testing during a very slow period of the year with the holidays etc, but lets see how it performs until 18/01.

I think if the EA can make a profit during this time of the year then other months should be really good.

Are you using exaclaty the same strategy mentioned on your first page Sir or have you modified any thing in your previous strategy just curious

Yes I'm still using the exact same strategy, but the TE is using the dashboard EA on full auto.

Try setting "order ts 1" to 50 and "orderTS1 trigger" to 50

Thanks for the tip NIHILIST...to confirm, do I indeed turn of money management? I'll give it a try when I get home.
I am very pleased with the performance of this EA. Like HZS10, I'm exiting manually as I see fit; sometimes for more than 50 pips, sometimes just a little. If it's just a little and the trade has been in play for a while, I'll look at the chart and if it seems to be exhausted, I'll close the trade and let the EA keep running of course. If I have quite a bit of profit, I quite often get nervous and close the trade as I've read all the posts where the trade was in profit and then turned on them for a loss. That's a shame as the EA is doing so well in finding entries. Without staring at the charts or otherwise being glued to the PC, I'm trying to find my way in the exit process; either by configuring the EA, notifications, etc. I haven't read from anyone whether they feel the trailing stop feature is working for them or not.
One strategy for TS use that I've read about and it makes sense to me goes something like this:
Once TP1 is hit, you can move SL to BE.
Once 1.5 of TP1 is hit, move SL to TP1.
Once 1.75 of TP1 is hit, move SL to 1.5 of TP1.
In other words, as the trade continues to move in profit, your SL gets tighter and tighter. After the 3rd move, as some believe, it's due for a reversal/pullback...so go ahead and take your profit and be grateful (not greedy). If it happens to pull back and still looks viable, go ahead and re-enter...or go look for another pair to trade.

You can configure this exit strategy already by tweaking the EA's TS settings..

Thanks for the response ebeckers...would you care to elaborate? Is it as straightforward as nihilist suggests? Do I turn off MM and set TS1 and OrderTS1 trigger to 50...or whatever amount I feel comfortable with?

I've been studying this thread for the last few days now and this morning loaded up everything from post #1 and applied it to MT4 in preparation for demo. When the EA initially loaded, all the pairs were in 6 character format in the settings. I left this parameter at the default and when I exited the settings, the "_" suffix required for my broker was automatically added to the dashboard screen and showing all pairs - even those without a trade recommendation. I assumed that the settings should be correct so I went in and changed everything to have the suffix and now nothing appears on the dashboard.

I read in one of your posts that nothing would show up on the dash if there was not a current signal. What's the proper way to go with this? Leave it as is or change back to 6 characters without the suffix?

Hello guys, I have been reading the entire thread in the past few days and I have to say I am greatly impressed by the system created by mrdfx. Time will tell how profitable the system will be, but from my past 30 years of experience I already see many strong points underlying it.

A few years ago, several friends and I created the Extreme TMA system, which is also a Trend Reversal system. It was profitable then with around 70% winners, but what really made it a giant winner was a year later when I began filtering out all trades that were against the major trend. This eliminated more than half of the losing trades and made it much more profitable. The reason why I mention this, is because the indicator I designed to do this (with the great coding expertise of my friend Rene from Australia) would also do wonders for your Trend Reversal system.

Basically, the Indicator shows a big fat arrow on the right side of the chart. Green for an uptrend and Red for a downtrend. If trading manually, when all other conditions are met and the arrow is Green, you would only take Buy trades. If it is Red, only Sell trades would be taken. It could also easily be added to the EA as an extern input: Use Trend Filter: Yes/No.

With this filter for example, the open GBPJPY losing trades on your demo account would not have been entered, since the arrow is Green and has been Green every day since Sept, 11th.

I am testing your system right now and it is looking really good. I am attaching the trend filter indicator to this email for all of you to try.
