Example, just so we are on the same page: I'm shorting EURUSD, DXY is at demand = more odds on my side Question # 1 Say I'm trading AUDUSD, can I use DXY? I mean, does the other than USD currency in the pair (in this example AUD) have to be a part of the dollar index or is the only thing that matters if the other currency is paired with USD regardless if the other currency is one of the six currencies that make DXY or not? Disliked{quote} Hello papabless, If correlation matters to you, then you have to also look at inter market correlations. For example when dealing with AUDUSD, you have to look at the price of gold, copper, iron ore, Chinese economy and NZD. For NZD, you look at Dairy market, AUD. For CAD you look at oil, for JPY and CHF you look at equities (risk tone). Cheers!Ignored
