I took this trade last night. Found my entry on the 1 hour chart. I like when I can see the same things more experienced traders do, when my zones are correctly identified based on other experienced traders seeing the same thing. 20 pips profit so far. If it goes as planned, should be a 3 to 1. Happy trading friends.

I have a question on EURGBP:
on weekly we have a new SZ and a downtrend
on daily we have a new SZ inside of a weekly SZ
can we set and forget this one or we must wait for confirmation on a smaller TF?

weekly - equilibrium;
daily - price at daily sz, look for shorts;
h4 - new sz, set and forget.
what do you think?

If i may, i think this looks like a good idea. One consideration is the zone quality, it is a bit wicky
If i trade it i will probably use less than usual size but that's me.

Hello everyone

I often get asked about trading the news and how to do it, is it safe, etc.
I have a simple view on it which is i trade what the charts show me. I can never know how the market will react to any data release, i simply trade what i see

Here is a news report on the Euro released on the 1st of December. Bullish news..an invitation to buy.

I shorted. Why? because prices were at supply

Love your thread.
I am in and out of trading from 1987, started after the big crash in October of that year.
Starting whit options trading en later in to stocks. Always reading and thinking about a system to make a steady result. Made some nice gains and had some nice blowups.
Reading your thread (266 pages, puff) I have a Question
In this post I noticed that you say in the 240 chart "conformation entry".
Why?
Why can't you not take this as a "set and forget"?
I'm sure it can be found in one of the 266 pages, but I just ready reading them.

Because
W is consolidating
D is consolidating
4H was already tested by that long wick.
The safest action was a confirmation trade.
You set and forget only when the trade is in line with the prevailing trend.

Thanks Michael for opening up the post for a discussion.
This is probably a great scenario to get clarification on the technical side of the trade.
You see, even as I look at the 3 images of the TFs, it would seem that the momentum is up in all of them.
My instinct will be to look for opportunities to go long from a high probability DZ. Then again I am more a position trader.

I do get that the lower TFs affords contrarian trades.
Then again everybody has to gauge their own risk appetite and decide for themselves.
