Its not something I do on forums.

I post information on my trading on on traders' forums so that it will be challenged and critiqued. That way I either firm up my belief that the system is as strong as it can be made, or if I'm wrong I can develop it with the benefit of other people's experience and techniques.

I incorporate into my posting, like my trading, the possibility that I might be wrong. Nice that you could admit this possibility too and stop ignoring me. My trading gets no benefit if my posts are ignored.

Cool man, I was re-reading my post and maybe I didn't explain myself well.

what I meant is that if I make a mistake and I lose, I have to recover that loss at all costs, even if it's 2 dollars. it's something crazy I have been doing over and over.

if you're in DD and you feel absolutely NOTHING, only then you have a chance to make money.

no need for discipline or control.

you only need it if there's something wrong with your plan.. but being disciplined in following a bad plan is a bit crazy

I think you missed out the second chance <you can go lose your shirt, sell your house, and admit into a compulsive gambling treatment center> aside from the joke you mentioned you don't have much fo an edge ? how do you mean ? if there's no edge how do we survive ?

At this point I also wouldn't call myself a successful trader by all no means, and I also don't know if I have an edge and I've been struggling a lot so I do sympathize with you.

No, I said "the important is to treat it with diligence". which means I do calculate risk, but since I trade high risk I need some luck to enter at the right moment.

I base my predictions on statistical probability, in order to have a positive expentancy in the long run.

Cool I survived. Probably the recovery plan should be the main plan. hmmm

It consists in waiting for strong momentum and pyramiding/compounding like crazy. It worked most of the time.

When I was a noob I used to flip positions with a multiplier, that also worked pretty well.

I bought my super fast PC with profit money.


OH WELL, time to rinse and repeat HY.
After all these rinse and repeats I can say goodbye to ego.. bye ego.

Lot of transformation during these intense days.

I'm not here to demonstrate anything. I'm just here to learn, like everyone else in this forum.

If I make mistakes in public I become more aware of them. Not only mistakes as a trader, but in general, I want to find out what works IN LIFE.

I believe in the law of karma... if somebody attacks me, that means I did something wrong.

Then I try something else, it's a damn DISCOVERY process.

I have spent a lot of time backtesting and forwartesting complex systems. I just wanted to find one that didn't CRASH in the long run (eg. 10 years).

the conclusion is that I can profit only if the market moves "vertically".

I can't be profitable in ranging markets. ..Like the one I'm witnessing these days.

K I'm almost ready to start a new attempt... hopefully by tomorrow I'll b ready.

this time with 50 dollars.. why? because when I lose I deposit less.

I don't set a number of attempts, as with my job I can afford to lose unlimited times, I don't really care.

Losing and winning is the same, only for the ego it's different. but as I said I think I got rid of it.

If I found that the market is mostly trending, then I would follow the trend.
iF I found that the market is mostly ranging, then I would buy lows and sell highs.

I don't guess/anticipate anything, that is pure gambling IMO. Does that mean I have a deterministic view of the market (or in general) ? probably yes.

The important is to have fun in finding useful MODELS to navigate and survive in the market, as well as in life.


Basically I don't believe in "randomness", but I don't care how this non-randomness is generated.

Bad idea. I predict with 99,4% probability that you will lose the money. If you keep doing that, you may even become suicidal.

apparently all the majors are becoming more and more correlated, diversifying among major trends is useless.
I have to change my plan completely...

who cares, I don't need any money. deep down I just want to be alone with myself.

not that I hate people... I'm actually very extroverted, but I need to relax. I can't deal with their perversity.

OK, got it.. if we REALLY want to maximize returns over the shortest period of time we must trade and think like savage animals.

too much analysing is counterproductive.

somehow I lost the right attitude along the way, but now I'm back.

in other words, let's just scalp the hell out the M5.

I want to add that this has nothing to do with GREED, which is also very counterproductive.

I don't plan to make the millions... 1k a year is more than enough.

If we look at the stats, I only needed to withdraw more frequently to achieve the goal.

Today is saturday... "let's elaborate more" time

can I be profitable in the long term "without stop-loss" ?


everything is upside down: what should be risk is reward, deposit becomes withdrawal, strong edge...optional.

in other words, luck management over risk managament..hence the elusive "withdrawal plan".

I have 3 decent strategies in my arsenal:
breakouts, pullbacks and directional momentum.

the risk to reward ratio:
1 should give me a high winrate
2 it definitely gives me lots of compounding power

In addition, good diversfication mitigates risk.

I blew this account to figure out once and for all that major instruments "mean reverse" simultaneously, and I discarded pullbacks.

small market moves are still appealing... time will tell if it's worth continuing with this at all.
