You cannot trade this sytem at 1:3 Reward to risk. you will wipe out all of your wins. An example of this is TP = 100 dollars, SL= 300 dollars.

If you win 8 trades in a row you will make 800 dollars. You then lose the next 3 trades that means you lose 900!. The winning perecentage of the system is 8 wins out of 11 trades which is a winrate of 72.7% which is a good win rate normally. but because of this 1:3 reward to risk ratio, after 11 trades at a winrate of 72.7% you lose 100 dollars

Winning 73% of your trades to lose money is not good for your trading psychology. this means the system has to perform at above 76% and higher to barely break even. you would need 80% or higher winrate to get decent profit and even then the profit is not that much.compared to what you are risking. Also a simple moving average trend trading system cannot sustain a winrate of 80%. youd be lucky to get 65% and your reward to risk would have to be 2:1 and higher. Also keep in mind that winrates can change meaning they can go from 75% winrate to sometimes 65% depending on the month ect. At 65% winrate your psychology may not be able to take losing 35% of the time unless you change your trading psychology which can be hard to do

I think the best tested pair is EURUSD.
I only hold this pair, I play at designated times, I am precisely bypassing Red news. This week I have not lost even 1 trade.
Rules are very simple ,try them . IF they works , why change them.

Wrong... please, before think like that, do baktest, chek the history on long term, according to the basic rules, then tell here your resultates and vision about system.

Have you thought about opening your own thread? I won’t disagree with what you have said about this one, but it would be good to see how you trade. The news, spread and broker are critical, but then the OP has already mentioned this. Money management ultimately will decide its fate. In backtesting previous news must be considered.

I know that the week does not mean anything, I also look at the long term.
But here the assumptions of the system look very logical, are not very subjective
They suit me, to a large extent
I was also very skeptical of the risk-reward ratio. But for now its ok.

Finally, time will show how the system will work

If you have some good profitable strategies in mind, here's on the forum.
You think that better play, show me, and certainly will try.

You can say to close buy position and open position after you see the whole time, but at that time can you predict the direction??
follow the rule in Post 1 and i believe it's better than just keep opening a new signal and would be likely fail more.

EA Placed USDJPY trade on close of second bar,..10 mins early than recommended open, spread a tad to high.. I set it to trade earlier to check parameters.

No news, and all parameters apart from spread and time, as far as I know, are correct. Just noticed....close of 1st bar for the signal...will adjust..
