So you mean there is no need to guess the whole movement of the trend just, just try to close when you are in profit, playing of course with the size.
If I understant well your explanation you mean small RR. If not rectify me.

Trying the free trial version of ATAS, very interesting tool for scalping. Pretty easy to see how sellers were still selling on those bottoms, but price just wouldn't move lower. Three attempts to break down absorbed by some large order, and then that false breakdown on the fourth that trapped more sellers. As soon as buyers got in, price jumped up 20 pips in a matter of minutes.

Stupid question about the software: how do you get the chart to autoupdate? Isn't it sufficient to link it to an account?

Today gave me a quite beautiful (I think) textbook trade. I entered short on the break of the high volume up bar this morning and took it down until volume peaked and broke the high of the high volume candle. My exit ended up right at the bottom. The next high volume up bar made me doubt the ensuing up-move, so let's see if there will be a further leg down. I placed a sell-stop order, just in case

Nice UHV zone you have there that's a clever way to trade! Check out too how your MA rolled right over at the H of the zone. Also that awesome little NS you mentioned right above the H and above your MA. It always drives me a bit nuts when I see people with a MA on their charts but then they trade against it (i.e. going long when price is below the MA etc...)...

Well done and a lovely little trade.

There is this weird guy whatshisname in this thread from whom I have stolen the UHV zone thingy, he seems to know one or two things about it^^ As Malcolm keeps saying: VSA is crap.

I think Pres78 here is the real master in trading UHV or VZA (volume zone analysis). I think everybody can learn from him at least couple of things.

You and me both. Like I always say, don't make trades based on indicators, but don't trade against them either. In other words, you don't want to go long just because price closed above the MA. And yet, you shouldn't go long while price is below the MA. If you're willing to go long when price is below the MA, why have the MA on the chart in the first place?

If you're new to this thread, Pres78 does this a lot: he shows up every now and then, and spits mad wisdom then disappears into the ether. Take advantage of the times he is here.
