I think you need to have proper amount of knowledge and experience and skills, and if you don't have, you need to spent some good time in learning process to do that.

can you add all average inside the bollinger band coding such that we can chose any of the moving averages we want as instead of default SMA main line.

In regards to the number "98" in his username - yes, it could mean he was born in 1998 (if that is true, then I highly doubt he is actually a hedge fund manager). But, a different possibility is that it could mean that he graduated from Texas A & M college in 1998. The nickname of students that go to that college is the "Aggies". However, I find it funny he thinks of himself as "hot" (as his user name is "hotaggie98"). We are assuming it is a guy, but maybe he is not a guy but instead a girl?? IMO, nowadays, it should take less than 1 year to figure out how to make money from trading, consistently.
I think what has taken a lot of us much longer than 1 year has been, all the nonsense marketing that had us hooked for years into commercial indicators, systems, etc.
Nowadays, traders have access to much more quality knowledge. At least enough knowledge to know better. That is unlike when the now-profitable traders started, or even worse, when the old-school traders started.
With all of this Forex knowledge being easily accessible and publicly available, I would set 5 years as the ultimate stop loss in terms of how long it should take an average person nowadays. I wouldn't invest anymore than 5 years doing research unless you have a large trading account that might make it worthwhile eventually

Good idea, but i think it is difficult for a beginner to create his/her own indicator / system without guidance of other great traders or getting and testing available system out there . A friend told me to learn coding ... i find it is a good idea, but with my low IQ it is difficult for me to become a good coder ... at least i will need much more time than others ...
. From your post, I think you mean of focus on a system ? Let's say we have a good indicator, but just one indicator may be not enough to know how the market works, so we need one or two more other indicators to filter our main indicator. And if we get them, it is time to test it, right ? But in reality, the outcome can be different , in a long run we can still loss, so it is difficult to be consistent successful trader. May be the psychological aspect is the key for success (greedy, not discipline etc) ?? Any idea how to overcome this ? Sorry if this is not clear, english is not my mother language too (although we got english at school, i am not a fast learner, especially in language). A warm greeting from Italy.
