I think this chart illustrates pretty much your explanation, Strat.
WAIT and SEE what PRICE does at worker resistance...
if i'd have bought at the open after the strong close and break of the WCC, todays candle would have resulted in a stop out.

Re the Gbp/Nzd, todays bar has rejected lower SR and the top of the WCC. it's also shaping up as a hammer-ish bar. in my notebook, I see Baba G pointed out that these can be strong continuation signals in a defined trend? to my beginners eyes, it looks like a decent long.
price at the moment is above the highs in October, but below Fridays high. if price can break that, I cant see much resistance to the high 1.99's.
this would give an excellent R:R. the only thing i'm confused about, is that price looks like it's due a pullback to the 20ma?

Hi Strat

Thank you for the thread, I'm trying to get on the path and consolidate all the information to get off on the right footing...

Looking at the the the charts I have chosen USDJPY as an example of a potential set depending on the close of the Boss candle this week.

If it closes below the current candle it becomes a control candle. Also if it closes below the support we have a strong potential set up.

So my entry will be based on this weeks Boss candle closing. Next week I will look for the Worker candle to close below the Worker candle support and then sell.

My stop loss is going to be above 114 or 115 (Big Boss Resistance) and my target area is going to be 107.80 /108 area Big Boss and Boss support.

Righto folks, I meant to update this some time ago, but I am old and tired. I'm sick and my head hurts. I got as far as snapping the charts, but didn't follow through with my update until now. Apologies.

As you can see from the chart below, it did indeed keep going up to take out the next two targets. So, that's 4 closed for 50, 100, 240 and 380 pips for the 4 positions. My fourth position off at 192 even. My fifth position was the one I intended to let run - and run it did - by another 335 pips all the way to 195.359 according to my broker. Sadly, when I went to look for it at end of week (17Nov) with a view to close monitoring/closing position, well blow me down - it weren't there! Nice little bonus position gone begging cos I thought I had pushed the button but I hadn't (or an internet outage prevented the entry being processed).

Moral of the story. Don't get sloppy! Always check your entries (and get the hell out if you have the wrong pair, or you put 100 times the amount on that you actually meant to (yes,it happens! - so check!))

Anyway, a little miffed, as I had planned to keep one position to add to my long term longs that have been running for a year or more now.


Second point I will make about trading the plan is this: My plan is always to re-instate any position closed out if I get the chance i.e. price returns to original entry level. For this reason, I did scan the charts periodically and I did identify trough "five" as it was forming and the bar shaded in lime below (I dare not call it a "pin"bar as I'll be the recipient of Strat's next serve if I do!).

I was tempted, but did not re-enter at this level as price had not fully retraced and trough three was lower than trough one AND peak four had not surpassed peak 2. My rules are not to add in this situation. So I didn't (thinking I would still have my position 5 to run- having still not checked my entries and blissfully unaware that no fifth entry existed!)

I did "console" myself on realising my fifth position missing by "revenge trading"- firing off a couple of shorts (3 actually) at 195 one of which closed out quickly for 150 pips and the 2 remaining still open (shown on chart above). I do NOT recommend this approach (revenge trading) - far better to check your entries in the first place!

Well, CHARGE they did! And, on 17 November: "Ka-ching" - position 4 closed for 700 pips.

Logic would not be my choice of words but you are UNDERSTANDING the strategy. It seems you are much better than me as you identified Daily Support as ""Medium Strength"" - in all my years I have only been able to identify support as "support" and resistance as "resistance".
