Dana, a question if I may. In your final notes you begin by stating "H1 has the power for the down..." I confess I've never thought much about the H1 holding power. My focus has naturally been on the H2 and Daily. However having said that my short entry (as stated) was based off the Mkt drawing close to the H1 top BB acting as resistance. Somehow I had some sense of the power of the H1, yet this is a new lesson for me which I'm not sure I'm yet fully understanding or appreciating. Could you be so kind as to say more about this? Thank you.

I tell you the problem I am having is not ever seeing any trading plans and entries from you. I see all these trades you are posting but nothing there showing the entries.

Notes: H1 very constricted, with ROMAR resistance and Purple, White and Smooth tight together above EMA. Bands becoming more constricted and coming in tight with each candle.

Final Notes: Daily is down with EMA and Parabolic. ROMAR support, and imbalance with Purple. H4 EMA holding resistance, Parabolic eliminated. H2 showing an EMA slider, with the crossings. DB on bottom, SAR attached on top and the EMA and Parabolic trend up. Going long at this time is a risk because of H2 and H4 ROMAR being in the same place - along with daily EMA at 132.50. Going short is also a risk with EMA and Parabolic up. Market currently in the middle, no trading from center.

Projection Short - H2 ROMAR hit to short, confluence form H1, H4 and daily, DB attachment on top.
Projection Long - SAR attachment at Parabolic on bottom, close candle, for entry long.

Short rules: Market gets above ROMAR, it must return back below. Trading with the DB on consolidation, (in this case, DB would be on top, next attachment on bottom - going with daily trend and H2 ROMAR trend down.

Long rules: DB on bottom and SAR separately from DB on bottom as well, mean the next attachments are on top (similar scenario to last week I think). Trading in DB direction as well, as the next attachment is on top.

Actual Entry: Entered Long on the 11:00 open candle, SAR attached to the bottom of the last candle, that candle retraced to pretty much the open and closed, my entry was the next candle as per my long projection of my plan.

Evaluation: Missed the open by 5 pips because my alarm forgot to wake me. 48 pips to H2 and 52 pips to H4 ROMAR and 48 pips to daily Purple so I deemed it a safe entry. Closed before the news at 18:00 with a 5 pip profit. The correct entry was as Dana posted. I saw that 3 am open candle below EMA with the arrow down, and I thought to sell and I would have if not for my projection to sell from ROMAR and buy from SAR on the bottom. My mistake in not seeing the obvious - the possibility for the short with the fibos holding resistance and, like Dana said, the H4 Parabolic being 60 pips away - which was pretty much the only real stopper down below. Perhaps projecting a long and short disrupted my focus. Lesson learned.

Ok its 7.30 AM in my local time and i am ready for self evaluation.
Close 5 menit before Yellen Speaks one and half hour ago
self evaluation :
1. I consider this as loss trade even though its no minus pips
2. What i consider as confluence factor, which is D1 ROMAR, H2 PSAR, H4 Smooth is wrong.

- D1 ROMAR was Support, but doesnt mean it will hold support forever, with 4 horsemen on the downtrend, market has power to move down

- My mistake is interpret H2 PSAR as support, it was actually eliminated because White cross Purple in Consolidation

- H4 EMA is still resistance, and with smooth as support, i failed to realized if it move up, it will resisted by EMA

3. I am correct in knowing the consolidation market, but i failed to find the extreme S/R to entry
4. last is, i failed to look at the H1 chart movement, which is ready for downtrend
5. If in my plan H2 PSAR eliminated, then realized D1 is downtrend, H4 on slider. i would not take this entry

i hope i miss many thing in this self evaluation, so i can learn more thing.

Hi Dove and all.

I've been reading this thread with interest and am from the UK.
I've decided to start paper trading the system and have got all the indicators up on the charts but am struggling to understand the GMT offset I should use.
I'm in the UK so am 5 hours ahead of EST. My brokers charts (I'm using IG in the UK) at 5PM EST say 4PM.
So should I be entering -6 in as the GMT offset?
Any help appreciated. Want my charts to be correct obviously.

Hello Lee and Welcome

You need to use forex.com MT4 charts, which are UK GMT. If you use others, you will have issues. IG are a good broker but I don't know what their MT4 is like so please just stick with forex.com and you will be on the same page as everyone else.

The trade still runs, and I will not make a new plan until it is over...

I wrote in my plan that I'm trading from center, but with both 1H and 2H turning down and all become resistance ( ROMAR,EMA purple and PSAR just flipping ) and more then 75 pips to last low as resistance, I considered this a good entry.

So what should the offset be on that or doesn't it need one.

Hi, i use this page to check market hours and what is the time in my zone: forexmarkethours (dot) com
You have to put offset in order to make a Sidney session open at 22:00 London time (GMT) . Just play with offset setting tonight and you will figure it out.

OK I'm a bit more confused now
There are multiple settings in the indicators to adjust various things to do with time.

1. Paradox_Sessions_Indicator
So in here I just enter 22:00 for Sydney and leave the gmtServerOffset at 0?
If I do that the sydney open line is at 22:00 on my chart but then if that's all I need why the server offset? Is that not needed for me as I'm on UK GMT time anyway.

2. Paradox_CandleCountDown
This has a Broker_Time_Offset as well. That is also set to 0 at the moment.

Here is a screenshot of my 1Hr and 2Hr charts next to each other. Do they look right?

Evaluation: Closed trade with 23 pips profit as there are USD RED NEWS in 5 minutes.
4HR 23.6 fibo was tough to break, and few minutes ago a SAR connected around 23.6 fibo area.
I had highlighted this in my plan but thought the support was going to break since 4HR EMA was sliding on top of white/smooth and all charts were in downtrend.

Outcome: Took +40 from the Market

Self-evaluation: Pleased with my trading plan that played out accordingly. TP hit 5 minutes before the 8:30 USD news just as I was preparing to exit per the rules. Perfect timing!

Very Grateful indeed to Dana and many others on this thread this Thanksgiving Holiday for all that I've leaned (and have yet to learn).

My trade didnt close because the Spread. From my entry to the lowest price before the News was 44pips, but my trade didnt close. So i took 35pips 5 minutes before the news. I think my entry was good, i only have a question about the Lower BB. That is a stopper? Should i didnt trade?
