Hi jmtini, great thread and I am closely monitoring your posts. I have just one quick question, do you place support and resistance only on H4 time frames and are you monitoring only that time frame for trading? Or you are checking higher time frames for any confirmations? Thanks for your response,

Hi MrDeBanissis

In answer to your question, I think it's absolutely vital to check the higher time frames. Daily and weekly.

Hi mallee

GBPCAD

I have to apologise to you and to all because I think that I misread the cluster (circled) and in actual fact the resistance level which it banged against was around 1.6825/30 and not 1.6850

However, whether the BB's have shot the price down to gather liquidity for a further upward move tomorrow or Friday is up for debate. Looking at the daily chart, we are still above the 200 ema and the trend is still up. If we get another down day tomorrow, we might have to change to a more bearish view on this pair

Yes.. sometimes it just don t work.
Unfortunately I was also wrong with my GJ trade and the SL was hit.. basicly it still hasn t broken the buy bias.. but a SL is for keeping risk in tolerance..
... I´m out in this case..

Stay tuned

Hi guys,

Here is the reason:

"GBPUSD is falling on talk that UK PM May is close to sacking international development secretary Priti Patel"

I knew that there had to be some fundamental reason for the weakness in GBP today!

But we really do have to "go with the flow" . If the price starts moving in the other direction big time then we simply look for new targets.

On the other hand, USDCAD and EURNZD played ball very nicely today. EURNZD is coming down to a key support area so it's too late to enter short at the moment. USDCAD - could still enter short around 1.2750 area

Hi sangra

I like what you're saying and I don't see any real obstacle until it hits the 200 ema area. I would like a small retracement overnight (see my arrows) before entering though

Well I will say it's a brave call stevepatt to get in short for the long haul! Not to say that you wont be proved right in the end. However I would prefer to take each day as it comes and buy today. If it goes down tomorrow we'll sell again.

GBP is strong at the moment so hold on tight. Sentiment as a whole on the Pound is mixed so I really do think it's better to take it day by day

In the meantime, EU looks good to go short again.

EURNZD - wait look for a retracement before entering short

Hi JM,

Why is it brave?

There are no willing Buyers above 1.68000, anyone Long above 1.68000 is Trapped.

It's logical to anticipate Price returning to test the previous Swing Low.

Check CAD pairs for Strength.

Hi Stevepatt

I certainly don't want to be dogmatic about the direction in any trading pair. I agree the situation is becoming more bearish on the pair. However as we all know, the market can be extremely unpredictable (to say the least!) especially in these very volatile times.

My problem with going short now on this pair is that there are a number of support areas below which might cause problems. What I'm saying is that there is not much "free space" for the price to move quickly downwards. In fact, it still has not broken through the 1.6650 support level and we're not even talking about 1.6600 and 1.6550! So that's why I'm not really looking to go short on it when there are other far more promising and less stressful opportunities

Regards
JM

Hi JM,

This is the major issue with Trading, we are both looking at exactly the same chart and seeing different things.

I see a Level of Buying that is getting weaker...

Below that I see Bullish Imbalance that has not yet been filled...

Below that I see a Level that the Bulls have defended...

but for how much longer...
