Can you, italy, or someone else tell me why the heck divergence should work. Do you understand when a divergence like that occurs? Let's look at a stochastic indicator. There you'll see that a bar-to-bar divergence can occur if the highest or lowest close of the last %k candles leaves the lookback period. Why should prize react to that? And why do you divergence traders always look at the highs/lows of the candles although your indicator works most likely with close prizes?! Additionally, trading divergence can lead to big DD. Even in your example you can see another divergence already 1 or 2 bars after your first down swing where your 'divergence line' is drawn first ...

This strategy has no base,daily hi lo is super lagging,it draws the level once it is passed.and macd divergence is a very old school and specially in 1 min chart ,we cant use default setting of 12,26,9.i tried all higher numbers setting but MACD doesnt give good signals.this is a fail strategy,do not waste your time and energy.

Guys: How would you know for sure that there's a daily high/low. Yes, Merlin talked about RSI and MACD. Some guys thought that it is all about divergence. However, do you really understand what divergence is? It just depends on the period you use for your indicators. So what shall it have to do with the market?

Here's my recommendation: Forget this thread - it's a running gag for 14 years now. And no, it's not funny anymore.

Every week, a new so-called trading strategy appears on the FF. I'm in shock is why people are still trying to find something better than the strategy of Merlin. It may take a long time to learn how to trade Merlin's strategy, but it's definitely worth it!
