Hi,

I have been testing many EA'a and in the next week I will transfer them from my desktop to a VPS.

As as newbie, I was a bit disorganized, and did not save all the settings etc. as a back up. Can anyone tell me a solution for backup in a manner that when I open the new metatrader, I see all the windows opened and with their original settings?... When a profile is saved, it does not save with EA's on each window and each setting of EA in each window... Is there an easy way other than copying whole metatrader directory?

Ignored
I found 2 ways to save the EA and transfer it to your VPS. Here are my suggestion :
1. The simpliest way to save the EA setting is using preset file. To do this just click on the chart where the EA you want to save the setting attached. Press F7 to bring up the EA properties, then click SAVE. This will save the EA setting to /experts/presets folder in filename.SET format. This mean beside transfer the EA file, you also need to transfer the SET file to your VPS.

2. The other way is to hard coded your EA and change the default setting of your EA using MetaEditor. With this, everytime you attach the EA, it will always use the setting you have just changed. This way you only need to transfer the EA file to your VPS.

Hope this help. Please let me know should you still confuse with my explanation
