No hard rules yet in money management. I trade only pairs that are -+50. As I enter in 5 min,I prefer scalping 5-10 pips. Entering on the pullback is good. When a price goes against me I enter another then move my TP, kind like a semi grid trading. No SL but close all trades when I have 3% negative.

Hi Buju ,
just experimenting Mctc V.4 on Demo. I entered late today ...just to give a test drive to this system/strategy.
Notes :
a) I do not have in V.4 a kind of "Ichimoku cloud" that allow me to spot the trade zone
b) I have 2 columns; one displays descreasing strength , the other increasing strength ..good ..so, we can see +3/-3 pairs.
But different form the picture you display above with 1,2, 3, 4, 5, 6 round-ups ..rules.
c) Some questions to you -noted inthe picture attached-
d) Did you or someone else tried reverse strategy at end of the day ? Selling the tops / buying the lows ...
e) I could not see in the market such a move at end of the day , that could explain the sudden move of the WHITE LINE back to zero , so
I guess that this is some "engine" inside the indi , Buju ; can you confirm this ?

Excellent thread.

I have used my own version of buju's indicator, for about a year or so, just in an EA format.

I group,split, and combine pretty much the same data to decide on first, market direction of the 28 pairs, from that individual pairs
using strength but more importantly timing.

The best advice i can give would be to limit the trades to just Monday through to Wednesday. I find that from Monday, direction will be formed,
momentum will start to pick up speed. Closing pairs as a basket rather than singularly prevents any hangers on.., trade baskets through to rollover, after that
momentum starts to drop off and possibly a ranging market will form, or complete bias change. Because the indicator will continue to show high values, pairs may be taken, but the market has started to reverse. That's when profits are handed back.

I may be completely wrong, but my EA has shown that time after time. Still, nice indicator.

Hi Moody , thanks for sharing your insight. I do agree with your view , that it would be better to trade this as a basket , it seems that weekly approach is indeed better. By tuesday GMT 10/11 AM pairs directions for the week seems to be settled and momentum is starting.
BTW , is this your EA based on this strategy which displays on ur TE - Rainbow Live ?

That's not my EA.... I tend to see direction literally within a couple of hours from the start of the week, or at least it seems to have a bias forming.
I use both an EA and Excel, the EA I built a year ago with a MT4 EA software builder program hence its an EA rather than an indicator. It's taken a year to get to grips with the info that it provides.
This EA doesn't trade, I use global variable's from it to farm out out the information to three other EA's, all using a different entry system, all basket based, all have MM with lock, basket trail etc.... from Wednesday evening, if i have basket/baskets running, I use MM to consolidate and close all baskets down as close as possible to zero loss. That's it for the week. I use a trail for the basket, no basket take profit, once a certain value is reached, trail kicks in based on the max value reached. if it drops 30% of the max value, basket closes down. The EA then waits 4 hours before looking to re-trade. If during the week I hit an early basket loss on one of the EA's, it shuts down, i may have the bias wrong, the market has either slowed or now ranging, so that's it for the week. One thing I'm certain of, whenever i see a new thread open up, single pair trading, particularly one that stands the test of time, most punters still wont break-even with them, and I think it's because there is always in the background something left out by the original poster. And that's the Weekly/Daily bias.

Have you compared this Wednesday reversal/ranging to a weekly ATR? It may just be that it's hitting the ATR around this time which will often cause a flattening or reversal. Trading around these "edge points" can be quite lucrative for fans of mean reversion.

I have spent hours, and that's in the 1000's, looking at data from excel through my EA's, my trading buddy also, using different algo's..
and to be honest, at no time have we seen a standout point where the market may start to reverse. I get the idea of using a combined ATR, or certain pairs locking out the basket. We could see when an avalanche was due to take place, we just couldn't predict max or min movement and for how long. I'm not an advocate of single pair trading, I prefer a basket and close all at the same time, no stragglers.

After Wednesday it becomes something of a horse race.., my point regarding an ATR is that yes it may have maxed out, but if compared to other pairs within the same group, they may still have movement left, and so 6 pairs within the same group continue on to ATR and the single pair that we considered trading, now max's out at a higher value when statistics would show that it would normally have reversed.

I have 6 trades running at the moment, taken today, all long, based off of today's momentum. My excel though for this week is demonstrating to me that overall it should be a short week. Who is right? No idea, we can only trade how the market is shaping up and that is completely out of our hands, so within reason, an educated best guess. Money Management is without doubt, the most important thing, second is diversity...

Of course I may be completely wrong and others have had a different outcome and if they have, lets hear it...

Just seen where you got the end of the rainbow from, think I was trying to match data from an EA and trade explorer so just threw on a trade at random EA..forgot I had it on there. M,

Yes , he should have watched the calendar and make expiry date when market is closed on a week-end. I was about to test a
weekly strategy witht the indi ...entering tomorrow when "lines" starting to be defined for the week.
Last version offered here on day 22nd Oct. Expiry ( for me) Oct.30th ... a week for testing ?
Mario777 , I suggest you stop sharing your results here (unless you are part of the scheme)..till the "buju" made his mind to extend his trial versions for at least 30days .... so , we can see the behaviour on big news , NFP , Bank interest releases, etc ....we are no ratlabs.

ok. but what do you mean part of the scheme? We are all the same looking for good indicator that works with our strategy. So far this works for me. Indicator is expired and I PMed the OP for new version and he replied. Thanks Buju.
