Thank you for reporting this issue. I looked to it, could reproduce the issue with your sended txt-files and had a dive into the code!

Well you did it...You did found a !!

Anyway what is the issue...?!
Well I did put a maximum on the RedNews items per day (max 10) => I never saw more then 10 events in a day, that's why...

I read the file and check eg. how many events there are for the date 26.... and do not mention the month....! (I just never noticed or had thoughts about it because I only test per month....)

So, I'm afraid I need to fix that in some way!!

A workaround: Just test per month!!

I'm sorry for the imperfection ....I try to fix it in the next release! But as said, there is a work-around by testing just per month!

Hello all

Here is a new release of TradeManEditor

- added GBP currency
- option to save levels and news into history files => buttons "save to history" are hidden if path to history repertory is blank into .ini file

Possible to add on the function for Xpip in favour, move SL to reaction point (i.e., neutral mgmt)?
Basically kinda the same as Ziggy SL function in Dale EA. Ziggy SL in DaleEA uses 5m candle as a benchmark to move SL to reaction point. BUT, Dale rules is when 7-8 pips then move SL to reaction point.

One of the reason to put this into the EA is that then the EA will be basically as per Dale official standard method minus the other subjective thing like news reaction and what else not. Coz the current setting with EAs doesnt seems to produce decent result. I am negative for 1month plus and i seen other 4-5 months being without profit when they use 7-8pip to BE SL.

Yes that would be a great improvement
I m actually monitoring several rules, and among them, one of the more profitable one is :
When x pips away (in my trade direction) from a turning point (possible reaction point) => this turning point becomes my reaction point, and I move the SL to this point

Nice EA. Only I wish all tools used were not exe files as I don't use windows. Instead I run my MT4/wine on my MAC. Can you provide the files for manual install?

I ll make a quick EA to test this trade management, as I have a 9 to 20 job and it is not easy to manage the trades manually !

I have some questions for you because I am not sure what the latest situations is of your indicator due to various requests.

1. i see from Bestof27 that he made a new release of the TradeManEditor, in which he stated that GBP was added. Question: Does this mean I can use your EA now with my GBP account?

2. otiose made a great proposal of move stop to reaction point after X pips in profit which would actually be Dales method. Question: Are you thinking about doing this?

3. Does your TM also take the tested scenarios into consideration? If not are you thinking about it?

4. One proposal > if not already done is the limit order functionality. My believe is that Dale's EA actually places market orders and thus one looses the spread. If you add the spread for instance of UCAD you loose out already on 15% of the whole move provided your spread is 1.5%. In addition...if we have limit orders and price gaps against us we get positive slippage.

Was just wondering if this is something you can/would/do currently work on.

No not at the current EA version. I'm working on it. But unfortunatly my spare-time is a little limited at the time. But I will release the new version soon.
incl: trading with GBP account balance, anti monster move option and some other things I already mentioned in this thread a few posts back

Not at the moment. I only program things in it what I possibly want to use (or if they can programmed easily, then yes I will give it a try).... at the moment I see the most positive things in the MarketProfile as I showed sometimes in Dales forum. but currently I don't know how to program such a thing. Maybe I also not know how to use it specially for our/my tradingstyle. Anyway I think our SL and TP must be flexible! (again that 10/12 is a bad and ugly thing in my view!) the MarketProfile with session can help here (see also "Locks cable corner" here on FF)

Yes there is an option for one testing scenario. eg. if price reached the level at 3 pips (=> level is testing), if price is bouncing from there 8 pips (=> level is tested)

You are not losing the spread as you said. You are losing the slippage . Well In my experience it doesn't matter....sometimes it will help you and sometimes it wil be against you.... as well for the limit orders or the market orders.
I could program it in it...but that's a rework of the whole EA....that's to much work atm for now.

As far as I m concerned, moving the SL to the reaction point has an huge impact on the results.
So as I wrote earlier, I ll make a simple EA to manage the trade after it has been opened by HappyMe EA = Move SL and reduce TP (optional) when the turning point is known (for me it is 7 pips move from the last swing high/low into the trade direction).
I ll probably publish it if it is working properly ... Waiting for an TM uptade !

Nice same thoughts here to mimic closely Dale results. Well, at least that my conclusion from reading through the forum as I dont see any other missing pieces.
I wish I know how to program this MT4 thingy myself. grrrr

Hi guys,

I'm really sorry it took so long for some wished changes. But firstly I was ill....then my childeren became ill....and then I got a new computer what is always a nightmare to get my data at the new computer at the right way...

So finally, finally I had time to test a little more... I think the version is working correctly but I still call the version below a BETA-version!! So please use it as test...if you find some strange beheviour....please let me know as soon as possible!

As always: use at your own risk. and if you just want the "stable" version go to post 1 of this thread. You will find there the latest greatest version!!

I think I need to explain the "MonsterMove option" In the just published BETA version

If you set in the EA "MonsterMove Filter (in points)" = 200
Then the EA is looking to moves of 200points between in 1 minute. If seen in a pair then:
1) The EA is not allowed to execute a trade for that pair for at least the value you set in "Do not trad y-min. after MonsterMove"
2) A red button shows up. If you click it you can dismiss the Monstermove and the EA is allowed to trade again as Normal!

ps: if you set the value "MonsterMove Filter (in points)" = 0 => The monsterMove filter is disabled!

Be CareFull: if you activate the EA or changing TimeFrames the MonsterMove is also dismissed! So this function is NOT Looking back in time. It's only a live check.

For tester: the % risk method only works on EUR? not USD? somehow I had the impression the earlier version tester work with USD.

Well it's just a name... xxxx.zip... it's just a ZIP-file not an .exe.... you need to download, then you unzip it and then you haven an .exe (install/setup-file). and that is indeed necessary....for a good setup without any install problems

Indeed you are correct!

I was forced to only one possibility in the tester... and I choose the EUR for that.

Reason for the change is that the input screen with all the settings went to complex (definitely with 5 different currencies). Besides that I think the main purpose is testing the strategy. If you then test on EUR, USD, GBP or whatever for currency does not influence the result or strategy. So in my opinion the more currencies I need to support, the more problems can arise and makes it more complex then necessary.
