Introducing Russell Waves - beyond Fibonacci and Elliot.

Thanks blott! Never noticed this before, will try it out. There are so many ways to project them, so fractal. The trade I took the other day was off 2b/4a from the Asian range and 3b off the weekly accumulation. Perfect setup with TDI too.

Re your Cheat-sheet post #1, am I right in thinking that if wave 3 reaches W3b then comes down to test W4a, it will then go up to W4b? Presumably volume has a say in this i.e. if volume is high on the rebound from w4a this will propel price up to W4b.

Am I on the right track?

Do you have a similar cheat sheet for the GM waves? How do they fit into the plan?

Hi Blott, yes, if the trend continues in a natural cycle it 'should' go through to w4b. As I have said also, it would 'usually' manipulate through to 5a before doing its retracement to 4a. Correct in how the volume should read. The GM waves follow the same cycle. Sometimes a market will resonate closer to the GM frequency and sometimes it will resonate with both. If a market sticks around GM4a to accumulate for a while or there is a strong reversal there it is good indicator of a market resonating with the Golden Mean.

Hi Carl, Have you by any chance a similar cheat sheet as in post #1 but for GM series? Price seems to hit GM levels more 'accurately' than Waves.

Hi All, it's been a while. Have spent some time re-reading Martin Cole's book as he recently updated it quite a bit. Feel I have a deeper understanding now and we must convert our thinking to see the market as a sea of beliefs. It is so easy for us to fall back into old habits and perspectives. Below are a couple of trades I took last week. I'm going to commit to doing regular daily, weekly and monthly reviews with two questions in mind.

What do the outside traders (retail traders) believe about the future of price?

Where are they most likely to place their stops? (WHY, WHEN and WHERE)

And a couple of statements to keep in mind: ACCUMULATION IS MANIPULATION. (It IS NOT a traffic jam, congestion or uncertainty.)

VOLUME is the STRENGTH of BELIEF. (Will talk about extremes in a later post.)

Looking at why I took the trades. I wouldn't usually take a trade having seen extreme volume on the downside but from a now clearer understanding, this is strong belief in a direction. As you can see going through bar by bar there is high volume both ways but what stimulated my knowing was the continuation down after the volume bar indicated by the black arrow. Then we see a weak belief on my entry to the upside. Also the TDI yellow baseline supports the downside.

I'm thinking of TDI yellow baseline as the dominant belief in direction and the market seems to love retracing to this belief and being reaffirmed or reinforced. Although my entry was obviously early and I did have a stop a little bigger that I would like, the following very weak belief or interest in the upside confirms staying in. The beginning of the next day there is a very strong belief in the downside for the beginning of the move.

So traders believe in the downside as we can see from volume. BUT Market Makers won't go until they have confused or challenged that belief by taking price up. Hitting stops is just a device to challenge this dominant belief and accumulate more contracts for themselves to profit from.

I feel this post is getting too wordy and the complexity is inspiring me to do a video Please take a closer look at the volume and really keep in mind that it is just an indicator in the strength or weakness of a belief in a particular FUTURE direction.

TRADE 2 was a break even trade only because I left it to confirm something I'm testing with Russell Waves. It was up +110 at one point and as you can see it has hit my TP today as expected, was just a few days early. TDI yellow baseline synced up with Russell Waves is the quickest explanation I can give. That leads into seeing that Russell Waves really do map the psychology of the market and not price.

I hope this has stimulated some new perspective on the market as a whole. Feel free to share any new knowings.

I'm using the Russel Wave levels in my Fibonacci Expansion tool.
DLY Chart:
I'm plotting from the DLY Low to the DLY High to the DLY Higher Low.
1H Chart:
I'm plotting from the HLY Low to the HLY High to the HLY Higher Low.
and seeing good results so far.
Most notably are the 191.4 and 211.8 levels [almost to the pip].
I'll let you know how it goes.
