Couldn't agree more H, i was thinking exactly this a couple of days ago. For a long time, i concentrated on success rates, as opposed to volume of winners and i honestly think that has been a big set back.

Deep pullbacks to prior S/D pin or buy the breakout of a shallow pullback (Ross hook style)

if we know the direction of the current trend via market structure(HHHL or LLLH) all these type entrys come into play

How many times do people ask; 'how do you know what the trend is?', the answer is another question; 'on what scale are you referring to?!'

A trend for me, will be (eg long) HH (pref 2b) HL and a further HH, or in other words a 123 that has triggered. I've tried to explain that this structure also appears to be 'abc' (at that stage) thus merely corrective, however, the NQ has a wonderful habit, of giving a nice reaction off of the prior pinbar in any case, thus as a minimum, it gives a +1

So you may have decided that we have a 123 which triggers to the Short side and sold the pullback to pin. Ultimately, it is the wrong trade, but it still reacts enough off of that pinbar to give a +1
