I have not lied here, I am a newbie and still asking a silly question about market and trading question.

I think it is a common thing to lie every now and then just like in the real world. I lie mostly when I feel the truth will reveal something bad about me, so I just cover up and make you think otherwise. When I have done some wrong trades, I wouldn't want mt peers to think I am a bad trader just because of a common mistake, so I just cover up. Everybody lies.

So you lied cos everybody is lying which means that lying can be highly contagious. But so long you do not lie to mislead or cheat others then I believe it's quite understandable.
Lying to yourself is even worse. I think if you have not performed well, then you should not lie to even yourself, contagous or not contageous, you simply will not improve. Thanks and

It's my belief that half the forum is full of liars anyway, so that's not a surprise. The question is what do you have to gain by lying? The "respect" of some people on a forum on the internet who you will never meet? Are you selling something? I mean, it's just pointless. Personally, I don't have a reason to lie because I don't care what anyone on here thinks. I come on here to get whatever nuggets of info I need and give back where I can. That's it. Whether someone believes I am a profitable trader or not does not change my P&L or make me feel better or worse about myself.

Yes, better to lie to hide what you feel inside than lie to cheat or mislead others in a bad way. There are two kinds of lying, the "simple lie" and "Slanderous lie". You tell the latter to hurt someone and mislead people around the person. Or create a bad impression about someone and hurt the person badly.
Why do many lie ?

Lets imagine a trader called James. (All similarities with anyone are random or not)

He was browsing the web, watching funny videos on youtube and reading through junk. His browsing session is interupted by a binary options/forex advertising which shows a macho guy in a suit, standing beside an expensive sport car with playboy models worshipping him. He gets quickly excited about the new method he found to easily make millions while doing the same thing he loves- wasting time behind his laptop.

So he starts researching, he can't sleep at night. He found a few strategys on forums and tries to play around on demo. He is greeted with wonderful profits derived from simple blinking pixels on his chart. He quickly deposits real money, but blows it... he goes to the web once more to research the topic more deeply.
He feels special learning and remembering all the peice action paterns and fancy indicators. However the process repeats once again and again...

He gets anxiety from just thinking about trading, he stops for some time. And comes back. At some point he gets so hurt, that he needs to bs his way through in order to get admiration from others.
At some point he realises how easy it is to fool others.
He starts teaching people for money.
The money is not that great, plus he is constantly reminded of what a failure he is. But he sticks with it. He made a cult, he has followers, and he gets paid.

Sooner or later he will snap though... he is the same gambler as he was in the begging. He now lives in his personal hell.
He broke his morals, he is a dog which has tasted blood.


For your own sake, don't lie, you will only hurt yourself even more than others.
The truth is hidden from you
I was once also a follower of some guru cult. Worshiped the guy just like everyone did. Exchanged the same bs repeated for 200 years now with sincere thoughts of helping other newbies like me. Saw the guy getting caught after someone sketchy found his whereabouts and filed law suits with others. Saw others create their own cult out of desperation... perhaps all their stress has melted down not only their morals but brains. Some even started feeling gangsta and enjoying their virtual criminal life. Other followers went in to depression, became alcoholics, had a self esteem lower than the floor. I hate this industry, but I love speculation/trading... I love a few but what geniuses this gave birth to. I feel like a child exploring the origins of trading digging deeper and depeer in to the essence of it.

And I will not back down.
It is my dream to master the occult art of sucesful trading.
It could take me years. I might never achieve it, If I wont have enough time than I will simply pass all my knowledge to someone else who just might master it in his/her lifetime...

I do know 1 in 10,000 traders do not lose money. FF cannot be much different than that ratio... But maybe you know better?

Something like that or a unicorn lol. How many people actually even personally know a trader of any kind (outside of the internet) much less a professional/profitable trader? Not many I'll bet.

Profitable traders have a right to stay secret though...
Lots of bad things could happen to them not only because of their money but most importantly knowledge.
Hell perhaps they have some captured traders trading from a basement in ISIS...

Demonstrate your explorer consistently then for what reason do you need to lie. Look at my explorer consistently. It is astonishing what number of individuals who claim to be ace and educate, never demonstrate their explorers. I'd even venture to state that the making of this string was somewhat futile. For what reason don't we ask questions which will enhance our trading? That to me is much important contrasted with endeavoring to make sense of why "individuals lie" on a discussion. There are two sorts of liars. One with terrible expectation of perpetrating agony or misfortune to trick other individuals and trick individuals of their cash.
