Hello to all here. May someone has faced the same problem as I have. I would like to start a test with 3 Screen on renko but whenever I load it on the chart (one chart even), it is slowing my MT4 (I mean the 3 Screen indi is doing that)... and with 28 charts loading my MT4 crash almost ...Checking the Ram of is over 1.200MB on MT4 but is it only my situation ?, my pc is not a bad one

This sounds too high, maybe something wrong with terminal setup, I would create a fresh terminal and start from clean slate for your Casino setup.

Now after I did JamesT advise to lower to 1000 bars did not help. A fresh terminal maybe would help but I do not think that this is the main problem. On my PC , I even can open more as 5 terminals including this one and can play high-end class games..So this sitauation is very unknown to me how to fix...

That memory used looks to high for just Casino running in the MT4 terminal. Another suggestion is you could try deleting all the history in the terminal, also could try my suggestion in post #940. Also the Period setting for Renko charts should be about 30min for 10pip charts

The default is 1min, which is very heavy with 28 pairs.

For those interested in the Renko 3 screen testing I have put together a short video and have included all the needed files to get you up and running fast.

I have noticed only a few traders posting information on their testing, if this forum is to survive we need more traders willing to share and not just wait for someone else to find the "Holy Grail" and then grab and run.

So lets all join in.

Thanks for the Skinner version of Casino and video, I will give it a run with 3 Screen, posts results later. I have been also trialling the Renko HAS, but have not found a good setup yet for full automation, I have tried using a filter combination that supported a trend : MON, Trnd and InDx with it but did not seem to help much. I didn't make any screen shots, I was having unrelated issues with my computer this week.

thank you Seller9 for your hard work and attention!

I have tested this strategy since this monday, most of trades are good and rarely have huge draw-down except 2 trades that were over -100 pips. I manually closed them as i can't see how far they may go.

this brought me a question, what the exit rule maybe the best to 3 Screen strategy. through couple of days testing, i'll say this strategy has GREAT potential, but is there any way we could make some tune up on exit rule so that it can be a holy grail?

From below the chart, apparently the trend has turned very early, but trade is still hang there, does this drawdown caused by re-paint?

cheers,

{quote} Perfect Boss. Sorry for the late response I slept off. I think its time for me to contribute to casino as well. So i manually traded this Renko system with Casino Has pin for some months, made money and went holiday. I like the fact you mentioned you prefer it to be a complete system which I think it is with the way I have combined it all. I was waiting to see if you would write something so I break down my entry rules. I also like to keep it simple, and im currently in a trade as we speak or was in a trade before i slept off, attached is...

Hi all. I guess the 3 screen Renko is not the same as this Renko idea? Since the stoploss should be low, 20 pips

You can always try and tune it with the ATR stop-loss setting, probably somewhere between 0.3 and 1.0 ATR. Could also even use the hard stop setting in the properties, but that is fixed to the same for all pairs. Currently I'm testing 3 Screen without SL settings nor equity settings and seeing where it goes by itself without outside controls.

My update about MT4 heavy loadings... After I delete a few history and load the last skinney version now all is very fine.. I actually not so sure if I have fixed my problem because of skinney version, but its ok now. My CPU usage is around 1% and RAM is about 400MB with 57 charts Renko's on it. I have now my fun back..I will start with the very default setting and will look further what I can add...thanks so much

Great I'm glad that worked, when the MT4 terminal starts to miss-behave it is often fixed by deleting the history and global variables. Sometimes even that does not work and I would just build a new terminal to get a complete refresh. This is not a Casino issue, it can happen with MT4 at any time, particular when swapping the experts and heavy indicators around a lot.

Finally got some screen shots to show, my computer system had a resource issue which I have now fixed. My 3 Screen test is in deep drawdown currently, I will leave it running to see if it will recover by itself:

My Guppy Test is doing better, with two Equity TPs of 50pip+10pip in the chart:

This is virtually the Guppy setup described by Encorep202 in post #912.
