Everthing worked fine untill now. the name of the offline charte doesn't match with basket and offline chart looks like this.

You are using an old version of FXM_diff3, the new version does not use a separate writer anymore.
Use the papeperclip on top of the page to find the latest.

It's TTM withouy FXM but i created a USD basket and an anti-usd basket containing the eur,gbp,jpy pairs without the usdxxx.
If the usd on the FOMC makes a big enough move the eur,gbp and jpy will move the other way for at least the first couple of bars after the news.
All was going well until i killed my MT4 and without visual you have no choice but to close. So i never traded this to the end.

Hi FXM, How does Writer deal with different decimal point values for different pairs ? The reason I ask is that the number of pips during an open trade doesn't always correspond with the chart. For example, I have seen an offline chart where the live candle is above my buy line but is showing a small loss in terms of Pips, and vice versa. This is before the EA has scaled into the position. Conversely I have seen the candle hit a support area and I can be lets say 300 pips in profit, I leave the trade open and look an hour or two later and with the chart hovering around the same support level a profit level of 230 pips in profit (arbitrary figures). So the scale of the P/L seems to vary against the scale of movement of the chart, it doesn't seem fixed (which might be part of the challenges with bringing together a basket).

So obviously the basket ebbs and flows and the pairs are changing all of the time, but wondered if you could help me understand why I might experience that phenomena ?

If you want you may also trade 2 TTMs simultaneously...for instance 1 Str H4,H1 and 1 CCFp D1:

this might be because of spread not counted.just guessing.thinking at that small difference i dont think is a serious problem to deal with.

You might be right but I have found the difference gets larger over time. Check this out (I can't tell you how quick I had to be to catch that):

I agree the difference in this example is small, but it definitely can be a much wider gap. For it to be spread surely the P/L would have to be calculated on the bid/ask and the candle on the opposite ?

You must consider when trading basket there might be inside some big spread pairs.and i guess again the difference you see might be the total basket spread that can be wide on pairs volatility or low on range.but i'm guessing.more will tell us FXM for sure.
